Which would make it the only ship where you can’t swap FSDs with anything else you have got unless you want to drop an undersized non SCO unit into it.
I always buy my ships in Shinrarta Dezhra, buy my core internals and use remote engineering for long range FSD and fly to the nearest FSD engineer for mass manager.
I should start farming these things. I have 38 FSD to replace and will need more in the future.

The RNG gods have not been kind to me, in my last 2 sessions i have had zero TDCs. however am not worried yet, i am still enjoying patrolling the outskirts of the titan wreck and then getting involved with any fights with wanted pythons and anacondas which turn up in my unengineered (apart from FSD and long range scanners) cobra V.

I found 30 with the intent of upgrading my existing ships then leaving 10 spare for new ones. But after flying the new ships a bit I don't feel any motivation to update the old ones, they are just so outclassed I will not need the updates since I will never fly them in any serious capacity anymore. I guess I now have enough for several years of ships.
I went to some of the rescue ship Tech Brokers (Conwallis, etc), but I can't seem to find one selling the pre-eng. SCO?

I've got mine from Human tech brokers in regular stations. I usually go to Virts Dock in Chemaluk as its fairly close to Palin where I can add Mass Manager.
Krait Mk-II still has a feature the Corsair lacks, a fighter bay.
a new medium sized ship with a fighter bay built to use an SCO drive and rival the FGS and krait mk2 is something i would want in my ship roster!.
On a related note, can you purchase an FSD that doesn't fit in your current ship from a tech' broker?
Never actually bought an FSD from a tech broker before but I've got a few TDC's I want to spend and It'd be nice if I could avoid some faff by just buying half a dozen and then transferring them to my FC to fit them to ships.

I've, literally, just finished engineering a Keelback to use as an Exobiology ship.

Yes, the experimentals can be applied to/at all grades of engineering regardless of the engineer‘s skill (and will „survive“ further grades of engineering).
So I can no longer buy or sell these Titan drive components on my carrier correct , am I just not seeing it or did they remove it for some reason ? Was sure it was there once upon a time.

That stopped working after a March update. Probably unintentional but who knows. There's an issue tracker for it so add your vote if you want any chance of it changing.
