It doesn't matter who's fault the war is, every species has the right to fight to defend itself. That includes us, and the Thargoids. but we are going to win because we are Humanity and the Stars belong to Us.
You lost me at the third part. (But I'm also not heavily into the Starship Troopers thing even if it makes for good jokes here and there.)
The Thargoids don't
need the Titan in order to invade Sol, they could already have started doing that without it. Instead, it is like they're observing, or looking for things in the system before they start causing a big mess. (And they are probably going to) Frontier have also been dropping a few hints again that there are very likely still some ulterior motives at play for the Thargoids' actions rather than (just?) retaliation for the Proteus Wave, as we are led to assume by our all too human nature.
As screwy as that idea may seem, it WOULD be an interesting thing to find out.
We actually still might. After all this setup, for once, I am not convinced if this is a fight we are going to win. I could end up being wrong, but got this feeling Sol will end up making Shinrarta look like a Thargoid kiddie pool. And somehow doubt the Titan will also stop there.
