For example, I was just at one of the fancy stations in Sol.
Everything outside my ship was washed-out and over-exposed so I dial back the gamma until that isn't a huge annoyance.
I don't want to dial it back too far because I know that'll make darker areas look garbage.
I then head for LHS20 and stop at the Wala CNB (where there's a fairly intense M-class dwarf star) for some pew-pew.
The same setting that made the interior of the Sol station look okay(ish) is now much too dark and renders all the HUD displays a red/orange colour and made it almost impossible to distinguish hostile ships from all the other contacts.
Gonna keep repeating it until FD notice. fog volume in stations needs dialling down
The new lighting is good in the aspect that it interacts with more stuff.
The problem on stations specifically is it makes it look as though your gamma is set WAAAAAAY high and contrast SUUUUUUPER low, and obscures distance detail behind clouds, because of how now the volume of the fog seems to be resulting in a load more bloom under the new lighting.
