Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Hi Eventure,

First up thank you for this mod, I can appreciate how much of your time this takes.

TCE 1.4.0.4 / ED 2.2 / EDMC 2.21

If TCE loads whilst I'm docked I'm able to update the market prices using EDMC but if I dock and TCE is already loaded then there is no connect button. Currently to work around this I'm having to close TCE then re-open it at each station I visit, although this still beats using paper so :D. I have noticed that the connect button will flash up for a second with please wait when I leave supercruise to dock at a station.

Using 1.4.0.4: Imported DB from 1.3.9.1 (here) then when sarting TCE for the first time I get this error.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

And subsequently TCE doesn't load up. TCE 1.4.0.4 DB

Confirmed: When TCE asks to process Journals it crashes, if I accept or not?

I've tried with 1.4.0 through to 1.4.0.4 and all have the same problem, which is strange as I had it working in 1.4.0.1.

I deleted the Journals and installed 1.4.0, and TCE launched, but I now get this error, which also happens in 1.4.0.1 to 1.4.0.4

baY7Qvt.png

And when adding a new market I get this error and TCE locks up

MvWy0ER.png

And now I'm back with the first issue, TCE won't start.

Sorry, but maybe I missunderstood what you mean with side-by-side. Thought you meaning if TCE can be installed multiple times.
So please tell me, what you really mean with side-by-side?

Ok thanks for the answer, when you select the graphics option 3D side by side, and you have for example 1920 x 1080 monitor and resolution, ED renders in the same resolution two images compressed in the X axis for each eye POV, in this case the resolution of each render is cutted in half so it render the left eye in the left side of the screen in 960 x 1080 (resolution width / 2 and same height), and the same for the right eye, then you turn on the 3D side by side in your TV screen, and shows only one image in 3D, in this case, you have to render twice your app screen (attached example)

In the first image is like your actual screen:
TCE normal screen.JPG

The second is like the TCE should be render in order to be used in VR and 3D side by side, THANKS! for your great APP!

I got an error ( unfortunately I can't reproduce that one) when I tried to modify a station I just added.
I deleted it instead and tried to read manually but get this every time now and the error won't let me do anything so I have to force it to close via task manager.
I am not sure if this will effect other aspects of play, I will continue scanning to find out more on different stations.
I also am unsure if this issue has been reported since I see similar screenshots of this error but not exact.

EDIT: seems my picture didn't go through properly. But the error reads this :
" Error in saving market
Error Line:50
Add market: False
Reg market: True
Mod market: False
Error: (9) Index was outside the bounds of the array."

and it is happening to every station in the system i am in so I will assume this will happen everywhere I go.

Further to what I said before. After the application update (EDMC) I then loaded up the system. When TCE was running, the connect button was there. I then loaded ED and it was there all the way until I finally was in the hangar -- once the loading had completed the Connect button disappeared.

Did you using the newest version of TCE?
There was a bug before, showing registered markets as unregistered and no button appear's, because it will only show up at registered markets.

Hi Eventure

Now using v1.4.0.4 with ED 2.2, however I have run into a problem.

The old 1.3.9.1 db transferred over fine and I started TCE with 2.2 running.

As I was mining in one system and off loading at a station in the same system TCE didn't have too much to do but when I got back to the station I noticed that TCE didn't register when I dropped out of SC. It seemed to have hung but did not give any error messages. I used task manager to shut it down and used the TCE utilities to verify the db. It showed an error in the logbook db and I used the repair feature and ran verify again which ran through without any problems.

However I couldn't get TCE to start again after this as it gave the error 'Index was outside the bounds of the array' on the loading screen and if I tried to 'continue' it just hung.

Can you check, how many commodities you have at your database? It is shown at the database window of the launcher.

Hello Eventure,

sry to bother you again, but found another bug, did the update to the latest version. I would modify the market entry and got this Error

No problem, please tell me, if the market, you want to modify, has a shipyard facility or not?

I just tried upgrading to 1.4.0.4. I am starting to think the upgrade failed although it didn't complain when I transfered data or verified it. Despite starting fresh with 1.4.0.4 and doing a transfer from my old 1.3.x install directory the database did not transfer my personal notes. I realize the 1.4.0.4 release notes claimed that was fixed. I have updated to the latest versions of all the optional bits. As it is the current version isn't usuable. In this latest version I both lost the connect button and automatic update on connect is not working independent of whether that option is checked. I'm still seeing the old trade data from my 1.3.x despite my best effort to automatically or manual update the price information. For example after the 1.7 update LTT 7548 Boltzman Gateway doesn't even have Advanced Medicines but the Trade suggestion still insists I should buy it. This was the old suggested trade pre-upgrade to 1.4.0.4 and Elite 1.7. Lastly I get this exception when I attempt to click on navigation:

Any idea what is wrong? Will the old 1.3.x stable version work with Elite 1.7?

Sry, but pre-V1.40 isn't working with the current version. All other sounds wired indeed.
The problem is, you can't update the commodity data, because the connect button didn't show up, right?
The button only shows up, if TCE identifies the market as registered, so TCE wanting you to register the market anywhere (Event Reporter or Position Display)?

I started using version 1.4.0.4 today. So far I noticed two errors. The cargo panel doesn't work correct. It shows cargo even if there is none onboard. Also registered stations show up as unregistered. I think at the moment i make duplicates in the db because I can only add a station again. The connect button doesn't show up. Pre 1.4 this worked fine.

It is currently showing 160 commodities - just as it was for 1.3.9.1

It's now 156! That's the problem.
Did you tranferred your old DB by the launcher, or by hand?

Hi.

TCE can not identify my ship. Anytime i change from another ship to my Anaconda i get an Error-Massage.

If i try a Sidewinder no error will pop up, but the ship data , like jumprange and cargo , has no value.

This pops up after changing the ship from sidewinder to anaconda.

nevertheless, no valid data for any ship....

Did you installed EDMC or not?

Hi Eventure,

First up thank you for this mod, I can appreciate how much of your time this takes.

TCE 1.4.0.4 / ED 2.2 / EDMC 2.21

If TCE loads whilst I'm docked I'm able to update the market prices using EDMC but if I dock and TCE is already loaded then there is no connect button. Currently to work around this I'm having to close TCE then re-open it at each station I visit, although this still beats using paper so
biggrin.png
. I have noticed that the connect button will flash up for a second with please wait when I leave supercruise to dock at a station.

Found the issue now, thanks for reporting.

Using 1.4.0.4: Imported DB from 1.3.9.1 (here) then when sarting TCE for the first time I get this error.

Found the issue, it is a transfer bug! Will be fixed with the next update. Please transfer your old database again.

Ok, I updated to 1.4.0.4 and tried both copying and transferring my personal.db to TCE but my personal notes are still not there.

Found a second bug. Will be fixed with the next update.

cant thank you enough eventure however I just copied the stuff accross and got this error also the font size still resets after reloading and so does the camera option but they work for whole time its loaded

You are using an old Resources.db file. Did tranferred your old database by hand? If so, use the launcher > database > transfer.

To all:
If you have used TCE before the V1.40, please don't copy your old database by hand! That will not work. You have to use the transfer button at the launcher.
Otherwise you will reporting a bug or crash, that would not happen, if you are using the build in tools. Thanks

Eventure, Something else for you to ask for on the Journal Request thread: it appears that when you click Advanced Maintenance >> Ship Integrity, so long as there are no other module/hull repairs done, the integrity repair is not noted in the Journal, and therefor is not being noted by the Credit Balance system of TCE.

Well... I sorta got it working in Oculus.... kinda....
got it to stick on various ship parts and open on a hotkey using VA..
BUT typing things in it is a bit tricky... still working on that....

seem to have fixed my error by deleting the logbook database file and putting a blank one in.
then after full verification just put that 1 file in.

Update (1.4.0.5) released:

Changelog:
- Fixed a second bug issue that personal notes are empty.
- Fixed an issue, that the Connect button are not shown.
- Fixed a bug at the transfer of an old database.
- Fixed an issue, preventing a crash when modifying a market.

Note:
Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version. Sorry for the trouble.

I did the transfer via the launcher. Previously in 1.3.9.1 I had had 160 that is why 160 transferred across. It never seemed to make any difference with 1.3.9.1

Comparing the tables public_Goods (which has 160) and the public_LOC_Goods (which has 156) it would appear that the extra ones are 157-Trade Data, 158-Unknown Artefact, 159-Unknown Probe & 160-Limpet. I never added any manually in the past - all of them will have come from database transfers from earlier versions of TCE. I suspect that they have been in my database for quite some time.

What is the easiest solution? Simply manually delete the 4 in question from the public_goods table? Or will this cause problems elsewhere?

Updated to latest version, imported anew.
Was in HIP 105408, Binney Horizons
It was shown as Outpost in trade panel, so i went to modify it.
After choosing the station i got this:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Also:
entering the game i was in my clipper, personal tab showed anaconda.
switched ships to DBX, personal still shows anaconda. when is it supposed to update it?

Edit: was in my DBX, purchased new ship, beluga [sigh] while storing the DBX.
TCE said 'new ship bought, type DBX', now shows the DBX in personal tab.

Reset the Resources.db at the database window of the launcher. That should fix it. Check the number again, after the reset, if the value is 156.
The problem is here, that the number of translation for all commodities differ from the number of commodities at the database. So if have 160 goods, but only 156 translations, TCE fall into a black hole.

Still getting Loads of errors:

Starting up TCE I get these errors.

Processing Journal on first boot up. I get this error twice.

Then when adding a new market I get these errors

Oht1cKx.png

MivZNqD.png

Then upon closing TCE and restarting the station hasn't been saved.

Oh, and there's no need to apologise "for messing us around" because you're not.

ADDITIONAL INFO.

In TCE 1.3.9.1 I have deleted star systems either because they don't exist or because they didn't have a ['] in the name or they had a double [''] in the name. Then I started to notice that the stations that were at these deleted systems where getting added to new systems that have been added. I have deleted these stations from those systems also. So it could be that my db is slightly or totally out of sync? All adding a deleting was doe via TCE and not in the DB itself.
