TCE can't access your route plan of the galaxy map, so it can't provide additional trade informations. The most time-efficient way of trading is to reach your destination asap, without stopping here and there for additional trade opportunity.
I think he means like if you are mission running or something, plot the route in the gal, and want to trade as well along the way. In any case the route planner may help. Just be aware of age of data, since prices change based on state nowadays.
*edit: For the mission box, when I select 'mission', then select the station, everything works fine. But when I select 'mission' again to get rid of the flyout box that shows the mission system/station, focus is not returned to ED.

If you got a spare monitor and your GPU has another connection. You could show TCE on the spare monitor. And full screen to the main monitor if your GPU is capable.
Hi Eventure, Ive been having a small problem with TCE. I prefer using the text version over the icon version but when I use the text version the current status panel shows, waiting for elite dangerous please enter the game or restart. I have to use the icon version to get that panel to show my correct status. Im using the current build. have tried reinstalling etc. Any ideas how to fix. Cheers in advance and thank you for TCE, its the only way to play

This is not uncommon with borderless window mnodes in games. Quite often, folks see a huge FPS increase (as odd as that may seem) and thus an increase in the temp and/or GPU fan noise. I'd suggest the following:
- Open the the menu.
- Navigate to Options then Graphics.
- Click the + symbol next to Display at the top.
- Set the Fullscreen option to Borderless.
- Set the Frame Rate Limit to 60 or whatever your desired max framerate happens to be.
- Click Apply at the bottom and test.
This ought to limit the massive number of frames your GPU is likely creating, most of which end up being somewhat pointless. Hope that helps.
The message you see indicates, that TCE, when checking your actual netlog file, didn't find a 'Body:' entry in the system line of the file, therefore the verboselogging isn't active for the selected ED version, or TCE is looking at the wrong file.
I suggest to let TCE detect your current used ED version again by clicking the button behind the ED Version row at the launcher. Follow the guided process to let TCE identify the proper version path.
I found the discrepancy between the different UI's (will be fixed with the next update ofc), but it is the icon UI, that is missing a check, so both UI's would show the 'waiting for elite dangerous please enter the game or restart' message instead.

I think I have that set already but I will check next time I run Elite.
I will consider sharing my second PC's monitor with my main PC, and running TCE displayed on that, as suggested by RadBlaster. I usually have that system running separately but I am sure I can get used to not using that PC when wanting to use TCE in Elite.

Just for info -
I had not set a max framerate but doing so made no difference at all, the same situation occurs. F D couldn't explain it, nor can I - I just wait for 2.4 and see if it is better, meanwhile. time to dig out a spare cable for the second display.

don't know if this is supposed to be like this but cant remember having to do it before, adding space based stations is looking for a planet name to be added before the save button appears, not always but 2 out of 3 in same system had to be added with planet name before save was allowed.

Same here ! I went back 1.5.6 and it is ok. Awaiting a new patch of this amazing tool.
