The Cargo panel is located by default at the bottom of your screen. You can switch it on, if not displayed at the Options panel (General tab).

When using TCE with EDDB-Relay, you can change the Trade Range at the Options panel (Online tab), otherwise at the Navigation panel. You have to stop EDDB-Relay to make a change and restarting it to apply the changes. But be aware, the higher the range, the lower the overall performance of TCE gets and can become laggy at a certain point.
My recommandation is three times your jump range. Otherwise it would take too long to get to the destination station to make a big deal. Some closer trades could get a higher profit/hr. The travel time between stations are vastly affecting profit/hr incomes.

That has become clearer now , the strategy for trade distance ( 3x the jump range ship as rule of the tumb)(and where set).
Looks like elite dangerous does not need to be activated to work with TCE mkii and that is easier to understand TCE.
It is working with databases , so flying a ship is not immediately necessaryl seems to me.
From the station where my ship is stationed 2 stations are shown alternately and the difference is in the distance of the 2 stations it seems compared to my station
One station is in the star system I am in and the other station is in another star system.
Now make a comparison of the screens docked and auto destination.

Get the idea that the wiki is not quite up to date with the current TCE mk2 version
  • the connect tab ?
  • in the navigation panel the trade distance could also be set with a red button ?

To get out of this situation a video would help , showing in elite dangerous the different aspects of TCE mk2 via flying itself

There is no Connect tab, only a Connect button!

Hi there. I love TCE a lot, really good job on it!
One thing that makes me confused as i seem to not understand how to use it:
I use 1920*1080 monitor, win10, game in borderless windowed mode.
Every time i move my mouse up, cursor for TCE appears which often leads to issues and i have to constantly move it back down.
I tried playing with manual focus on/off, it doesn't seem to change anything. Any advice to make sure TCE is only focused when i use a key combo for it?

There is nothing I can do because of the mouse pointer displays above the UI, It's an overlay. I would recommend to hide the interface, if the pointer distrubs you,

Hi Eventure - Merry Christmas. I have the EDDB set to a manual update which I do at the start of every session as I am doing some long distance missions at the moment but I have a little problem where everytime I start TCE and log in, TCE has my location as "CD-62 136" no matter where I was when I logged out. I changed the attributes for the TCE folder to uncheck 'read only' but that hasn't fixed the problem. This is only a minor annoyance so no pressure. :)

Please verfiy, if your selected ED game path is set properly. Use the Auto-Detection process if possible.

  • Fixed an error after launch when installing ED for the first time and the NavRoute.json file has not yet been created.
  • Fixed rare error when scanning the NavRoute.json file for a new star system unknown to TCE.
  • Fixed rare error when selecting a market as your destination in the Trade Station tab of the Navigation panel.
Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

Just auto installed and the database reported "error" on cartography and registered markets .
I used the repair function and I hope all is fine.

no further development is planned at the moment, and I wouldn't have the time either, as I'm involved in other projects.
But if you found a bug, feel free to send me a report using the Report A Bug button in the Launcher or Options panel. Only then is it possible for me to find and fix the error.

Hmmmmmm, I upgraded to the latest version (1.9.1.0) and now I seem to have major problems. Firstly none of the auto destination stuff worked any more (I've been using TCE2 for 6 years and apart from the odd bug it has worked fine). However, when I did the last update:

1) It reloaded all of my journal files (thats all since 2017 - it took around 14 hours).
2) I ended up with 2 entries for many systems
3) due to 2) the auto destination and many other functions stopped working.
4) whenever I did a verify on the Systems database (from the launcher) I got an error, if I set systems back to the default, and reverified it was OK, but then it seemed to go back to the problem in 2 above, if I exited, restarted and did verify again - the error was back in the system database.

So, I cleared the database (set all database files to default from the launcher, verified - OK, the restarted). As soon as it loaded my current journal it created double system entries for the 3-4 systems I had visited. Again, autodestination and bookmarks etc would not work.

So, I cleared the database and moved my journal files and then repeated the above. When I restarted game things seemed OK, but as soon as I jumped to a system it created a double entry for that system and things stopped working again.

Oh, yes, I also turned off the EDDB Web relay service (in case that was the problem - but it wasnt, still get the double entries). BTW, even though EDDB-Relay service is marked as 'off' the status box on the 'online' option panel is still showing 'Working'?

This is simply a guess, but what seems to be happening is that when TCE reads a system entry in the journal it fails to do an update if the system is already known and instead it does an insert - while the double entries have the same system name, one entry has '?' for most of the fields except star type, while the second entry has all of the fields correctly populated (e.g. population, stations etc...) except the star type which is '?'. Could this have something to do with the 'live/legacy' version changes that were made at the last ED release - FYI I only use Live and have never connected to the Legacy version of ED?


OK, I did a completely fresh install of TCE2 and then loaded just the one journal file from 1 hour ago, I still get a double entry in the systems.

Before upgrading, TCE creates a backup of your last version with the extension .old. So you can return to your working TCE version if the upgrade causes problems.

Then you should have your databases checked using the launcher before the next upgrade attempt. If errors are found, repair them with the built-in function.

Then you do the following:
1) Install TCE fresh on your system, but not in the same folder as your previous version.
2) Then start the newly installed version and do a database transfer also using the launcher.
3) After that everything should be fine again and if not, send me a report and your files using the Report A Bug button from your still working version.

Since I'm going to upgrade my PC's hardware today, I'll probably be unavailable for a short while. I hope everything works as I described.

Thanks Eventure. I went back to the version 1.9.0.9 and it is working fine now.
