Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

I updated to the 1.9.0.0.5 version and now TCE crashes when it is 70% through loading. Sent you the crash report. I havent tried the hot fix you provided above as not sure if my problem is the same as the person you gave the hot fix to.

Thanks for all the continued support though.... its so impressive.

One thing I have noticed in this latet release is that the Time Left fields on the Mission Panel are now all showing as Unknown regardless of the amount of time left.

For some mission types there is no expiry entry, therefore TCE cannot evaluate the remaining time until the end of the mission.

I realise that, however it is showing unknown for ALL missions types (e.g. courier missions, planet scan missions, mining missions, commercial sample missions to state just a few I have tested).

Also I have tested it with new and old missions and it shows unknown for All missions.

FYI, if this has something to do with the localisation changes you made recently, my TZ is GMT+3, we do not ever have summer time here, my keyboard and languag is English/UK)

Thanks for the info, I can confirm the issue.
It will be fixed with the next update.

Thank you for your report!

The issue will be fixed with the next update.
For now, edit the TCE.config and change the MultiMonitor parameter (TCE_Settings) to "False" and the FreePanelPlacement parameter (Options_Settings) also to "False" to fix the problem.

Version [1.9.0.8] released
Changelog:
  • Added a complete code rework of the waypoint data handling.
  • Fixed a display issue where the list of waypoints in the Waypoints panel would not update properly after TCE detected waypoint entries in NavRoute.json during TCE's startup sequence.
  • Fixed a rare error when setting a course to a star system with an incomplete dataset.
  • Fixed a potential issue when reading latitude and longitude data from the status.json file, resulting in null values.
  • Fixed a potential issue that caused the UI to appear outside the screen bounds when switching from a multi to a single monitor setup.
  • Fixed an issue with the Infiltrate Megaship mission type not having an expiry date included in the "MissionAccepted" journal data entry. It's now set to 24 hours by default.

Hey, thanks for your work & help in advance! I've been playing around with the app for about a year and although I'm slowly picking up on things, I'm still largely unsure about a lot of its functionality despite being a relatively experienced trader and reading, re-reading and watching as much documentation and advice that I can find. That said I do have a few questions that really gnaw at me whenever i run the app, so hopefully yall can point me to further guidance or help illuminate the following:

  1. How does one fully exclude any and all mention of slavery from the app, especially the auto-route planner? I don't necessarily always have a specific flight plan / trade route and I'd just like to see what profitable trades might be available to me without planning a route. However, adding Imperial Slaves to both excluded commodities lists (Route Planner, Finder-see below) doesn't seem to exclude them from the default auto-destination. As an Imperial (and real life, obv.) abolitionist, based in Imperial space, I find myself faced with this issue often--rendering that primary aspect of TCE utterly useless. I've seen this issue brought up in this thread before, and somehow resolved, but I can't figure it out. What am I missing?

  2. Every time I start TCE, since the console transfer, it shows my alt Cmdr's, not my current Cmdr's, location as soon as the 'relay: initialisation' begins, regardless of which Cmdr I log in with or last played as (see below). That account was my only PC Cmdr until my console 'main' transferred over in September-I'm guessing it has something to do with that but can't figure out how to fix it.

  3. Interacting with the UI, to me, can seem like one of the bigger obstacles to using TCE to full potential. For example, for some reason, double-clicking a faction in the 'faction summary' section adds it to this dropdown list, and mutiple clicks, intentional or otherwise, add duplicates (see below). There is no clear way to remove these duplicates, and in attempting to figure out how to use the panel by clicking, I have made a mess of things. Why would I want to add a faction to this dropdown, and how do I remove erroneous additions? Also, neither of the '?' icons, presumably to direct to some kind of help, or explanation, seem to work at all, leading to another dead end.:cry:

Thanks for your help with these specific questions; also any tips from folks who have been intimidated by the UI and successfully made sense of it are more than welcome lol.

In the current version, the set filters are only used for routes, but not for the auto-destination. I will add support here with the next version.
In the options panel you will then be able to activate the auto-destination filter.

Please check the NetLogPath at the TCE.config file, if it is the same main path as the game path, but only added with \Logs.
Otherwise redo the Auto-Detect process at the Settings tab of the Launcher.
You could send me also a bug report by clicking the "Report A Bug" button at the launcher.

That's definately a bug. I have fixed it with the next update. The ?-icon tooltip can show only informations, if the Faction panel has the focus (click onto the header of the panel for example). To remove multiple entries of the same faction, remove the faction from the list by clicking the STORED FACTIONS button at the bottom list of the panel and uncheck it.

Version [1.9.0.9] released
Changelog:
  • Added a new Auto-Destination filter for commodities to the Options panel.
  • Fixed an issue when editing a faction stats with a double-click where the faction was added to the tracked faction list multiple times in the Factions panel.

Now I have to admit to not using TCE for some years now but with the rendering asunder of the game next week I wonder if it is possible to use TCE purely in Legacy. In other words, if I only launch TCE when I am playing in Legacy (3.8) will that be mucked about with when I am playing in non-legacy. So basically will entries in my journals when playing "Live" mode interfere with the database of TCE if TCE is not running then but runs later when playing "legacy".

(Sorry if that is clear as mud - I might be in need of caffine.)

As I don't know today exactly how it is handled with the lagacy and live mode of i case of EDDB, EDMC and the journals, I recommend having a second installation of TCE, one for lagacy and one for live mode until TCE fully supports both modes.

@eventure heads up. EDMC 5.6.0 is almost certainly going to break TCE.

I very much have to concentrate on getting things right for the EDMarketConnector.exe use cases, and the fallout from work done for that means that, at the very least, there is now some extra logging output.

I'll look into fixing EDMC.exe, if possible, once the dust has settled otherwise.

Also, I'm guessing TCE never uses EDMC.EXE -n because I not only found that broken in forthcoming 5.6.0, but it also is in 5.5.0.

Thanks for the warning! Hope you get it fixed soon.
The -n parameter is used if the user enables the option. Hope you fixed that soon too.

Once again, on behalf of all users, I would like to thank you for your continued support of TCE.

Create a file and name it AppConfigLocal.xml with the following content:
Code:
<AppConfig>
  <Network
  VerboseLogging="1"
  >
  </Network>
</AppConfig>

Copy/move that file into your ED folder, where the file AppConfig.xml is stored (see below). Restart TCE and ED afterwards and the issue should be fixed.
Gamelogs can be zero, if you have installed ED without starting it yet. Otherwise please run the Auto-Detect Process.
