Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

It will be transfered by TCE, if an upgrade is required. If not, you can copy them to the new folder.

I need your database for further investigations. Thanks.

Thank you very much. It has cost alot of time. Someone asking about if I am playing the game. What game? My game is called .net for the last three months ;)

I sent you the files from my DB folder in TCE. Hope that was what you asked for.
Thank you

Both error saying: Provider not installed?
If so, did you installed the Access Runtime mentioned at the FAQs?

Question: I want to import my old database from TCE Mk.I and got a Runtime Error "Provider is not installed", what is needed?
Answer: Please download a required Access Runtime below and install it, if you receive the error.

Eventure, Might want to add this to the pre-reqs.

Added!

Eventure, it's back! The dreaded windows toolbar display. I can confirm it is BACK in v0.9.7! Arrrgggghhhhh!

Rob

Eventure

In latest version I'm suddenly getting the toolbar appear each time I click on a TCE thing from ED. Once you are then using a TCE window the toolbar disappears again, but on first click it's always there.

Ups, forget to remove a test setting. Next update (tomorrow) will fix it. Hope you can wait.

Your database is quite empty. Can't recreate the issue. Did you experienced it again? Thought it has to do with some stations, you recorded.
I will add some better error report to that routine to encircle the issue. Please report back, when using the next update.
Thanks

While I appreciate your effort, having to manually enter information in is a complete deal breaker for me.

My keyboard is stored under my desk and rotated 90 degrees whilst flying. Thus it is inaccessible, and makes this program useless for me.

I don't understand why edmc data cannot be used to avoid manual entry. I also don't understand why eddn data can't be pulled, as an option for those of us who want to use it.

While the eddn issue is tolerable, having to enter data manually is not (for me).

What would it take to get, at a minimum, automatic data entry from edmc when you dock? I would love to use this software, but manual entry of any data makes it unusable for me.

From the OP which you seem to missed: EDMC integration (optional).

EDMC didn't provide the necessary data for markets and star systems.
In addition, my skills lacking in online access code and how to do that. I am fairly a beginner in coding.
But perhaps, it will come, but to a later point maybe.

This tool has never been about using Crowdsourced data, it's an advanced version of Pen and Paper and hence manual edits are required. It uses EDMC as EliteOCR doesn't capture stock levels and isn't being supported anymore, from the lack of updates since EDMC came out. EDMC is used solely for Market Data.

Also what did/do you use instead that doesn't require using a keyboard for data, web browsing etc?

======== EDIT ========

Furthermore, this is THE BEST tool available, if what you want from a tool is to record all your OWN personal data as you meander around the galaxy.

... the Database conversion is working now on Windows 10.

But ... the Conversion Tool is now crashing at the end. A black screen pops up and the program does not react anymore.

Nice One!!!

Fixed the issue I had with the Data Conversion, still running but values where they are supposed to be, many thanks.

Spoke too soon.
I started a fresh install, and tried it again, got passed the first stage and thought I was on to a winner.
Got as far as integrating into the database, said yes and this popped up.
Any Ideas, as I believe it should exist.

Tried it twice, same point of failure. Any Ideas?

Oh, okay, will check it tomorrow. Please remove the .db files of the DB folder before integrating manually.

Thank you for your reply. Elite dangerous needs what you're providing.

I'll keep my eyes open for either an edmc update which removes the need for manual entry, or a version which includes eddn integration as an option.

Beginner or not, you've created something worthwhile.

@bAdbUd,

I have a wireless mouse which is still usable whilst flying. I also have a ministick on my throttle.

Anything that requires typing is not something I do when flying.

But you're not flying when you are docked. :p

Or better still if you really don't want to use a keyboard you could use a speech to text program.

Oh, okay, will check it tomorrow. Please remove the .db files of the DB folder before integrating manually.

Just to advise, Antivirus has been disabled for the past hour so not getting in the way.
I'm going to add TCE & EDMC to the exceptions list.
Removed the db files, re-launched, complained about missing tables, probably because I deleted the files, currently updating star systems.

Removing before integration, not before launching.

The error messages actually starts when starting TCE. Then I start ED and get some more errors when entering station.

I will try to start ED first then TCE and see what happens.
