Where is this connect button please in tce ?

Just to add a bit more to what RobH said. the "connect" button only appears after TCE recognises you are at a station. So if you have just landed at a station you haven't been to before and the "Current Station" box (top left hand centre) does not show you are at a station then TCE does not recognise you are at a station and you then have to enter the "market" data which is the station information. Once you have done that and if you have EMDC installed the "connect" button appears.

Ok so I have the connect button now. But when I clicked on it, it says "Not verified". I must miss something no ?
EMDC is working correctly as it recognized correctly where I am.

If the "SAVE" button does not appear, it means you haven't entered all required fields. Check for what fields you may have missed.

Regarding your second question and just curious, why do you want to use EliteOCR if you are using EDMC? EDMC acquires all the information and much more automatically by pressing the "Connect" button once. EliteOCR only scans the commodity data and you have to do this page by page of the commodity data and then manually add in the supply data?

Rob

Ok, never saw the save... even with everything filled.... AND never saw the "Connect"... however there were 2 updates and I decided to reinstall.... Which kinda killed the whole thing because I now get that :

.Net error: Conversion from string "13.01.3302" to type 'Date' is not valid.

That everyone else seems to be suffering from. Now, if you continue through the error the splash screen locks and anything else just crashes it.

Thanks for a great app.

I have one problem though, on a planet in MCC296 (B1) there are two Planetary Ports. Crowley Installation and Hodgson Holdings. I have added data for Hdgson Holdings but when i fly to Crowley it does not recognized I have moved. Am i missing something?

From my side, I am using the DB given in first post.
Issues that I have :
- Sometimes the tool doesn't start and I have the same error than Dexadrinne above.
- A LOT of error linked to conversion error from string to double. Link to DB content downloaded ? Should I start from a fresh DB then ?
- When TCE MKII start and I click on the button Connect, I have the message in red "Not verified" instead of "Connect" and of course, I cannot see prices in the Commidities panel. BUT I can see that is import correctly within the directory on my PC.

I read guides but it doesn't speak about my issues.
Thank you in advance for your support.

When entering the Station Data, there is another box called "Planetary ID" this is an optional field. Give this a name or number fly to the other station and do the same, then TCE should then recognise each station as different.

I installed EDMC today. Is it normal that you get no choice where to install it?
I have it in my app menu, but I have no clue where it is installed. Any body help me?

I`m really struggling to get mkII to run properly. I get lots of errors on start up.
I have converted my old trade database, but when I enter a known station the program doesn`t show that it has entered. In the mkII app window I have no green lights .
I`ll try to reinstall 9.7 and see what happens when I don`t us my old DB.

Are you using EDMC?

Sometimes, not often TCE gets stuck and can't get the data from EDMC a restart of TCE resolves the problem.

Please read the installation details on the EDMC page I linked you to. You have to be verified to EDMC to be able to use it and that page explains how to get verified. It is a once-off verification that requires your ED login information.

Some fields require "none" to be entered such as the second Economy field if there is no second Economy. As you say, quite a few people are getting this date error and I would expect Eventure to hopefully release a patch for this later today.

Also, please see my reply above as you need to get verified by EDMC to be able to use it.

I am verified otherwise i would not be able to download the commodity prices on my pc.

EDMC does not give you a choice where to install it. It will have installed to C:\Program Files (x86)\EDMarketConnector - or equivalent depending on your version of Windows.

TCE Mk II works a little differently to Mk I in this area. It shows your current station in Current Station header box. When you enter a station you have previously entered data for - either in Mk I or Mk II - click the Database, then Markets buttons. You should then get a Database window open. Click Modify Entry and if TCE has a record of you entering the station information before, then it will appear in this window. If nothing appears, then TCE does not recognise you have previously entered this information. Click New Entry and enter the data requested.

I am verified otherwise i would not be able to download the commodity prices on my pc.
This might be due to a problem in the way that login credentials are shared between the EDMC app and the command-line program.

Try this:
- Hit "Update" again in the EDMC app to check you're still verified
- Quit the EDMC app
- Update prices in TCE mkII
- Rerun the EDMC app (or not, as you prefer).

Removing before integration, not before launching.

Hi Eventure

As you suggested I have disabled my AV and (even though I have Access installed) ran the Access runtime file.

Success... up to a point. The files converted (eventually) and I was faced with the integration option. As per your instruction I deleted all the .db files in the DB folder prior to confirming integration but I then got the error concerning the TDM.db file in the TDM folder. As well as deleting the files in the DB folder before integration should I also delete the files in the TDM folder as well?

Thanks

Once I have it up and running I feel that another donation will be in order ;)

Greetings all, I am getting this when trying to connect with EDMC... worked fine yesterday... I applied the update to MKII today and then the error. See the screenshot linky

http://prntscr.com/9pn84p

Note, it throws this when [STORING]

And this is the Details: Sorry couldn't find how to add a Spoiler here..

Code:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
