Checked Mk I database imported from, 'BIOWASTE' is spelt 'BIO WASTE' in that Database.
EDMC import of data says 'BIOWASTE' as 'Biowaste', this could be the problem.

Except for the error messages TCE is running, but I often have to cancel error messages.

So I have another question about the EDMC. IT`s running now and since I have no experiences from before I have a question on how to use it.
I am now in a station and the "connect" button is there. I click on it and the button changes to "processing" for a couple of minutes. Then it changes to "storing" for about the same amount of time.
Then it changes to a timer. It counts down from 1:00 to O.OO. Then the button reverts to "connect".

Can anybody tell me what`s going on, and how can I use it in TCE? Is it updating my already stored markets, or is it searching for markets in a set radius of my location?
I have not installed EliteOCR yet, but I believe it is not necessary when using EDMC. But then again, I might be wrong.

Anyone?
:)

Good morning all,

I have installed the latest version of TCE II, and have noticed a massive redcution of frame rates when the application is running.

On an i7 2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz, 16.0 Gb ram, AMD R9 380 4Gb card, running on Windows 7 64 bit.

In Normal flight, when docked and in SC, I am seeing FPS of 29-34 when running TCE MkII. When I close TEC MkII down, FPS jumps to 88-95.

There is noticeable lag within the game when TEC is running.

I am on a similar system: i72600K, 16GB, Nvidia 780ti on Win 7 64, and of course, I am not seeing any frame rate changes with TCE running. The main difference I see is the video card, but who knows. I don't know what to suggest, I'm just giving my experience.

Connect means exactly that, connect to EDMC, validates your connection, then downloads the information from the EDMC database. Once downloaded, it stores the information in TCE's database. Once complete the counter is present because your not able to connect to the EDMC database again so soon, so a timer is invoked.
This is an EDMC thing that TCE does for you.

I am investigating the issue, it has to do, when using EDMC. Have to check my import/setup routines for the Commodities panel. Perhaps I will completely rework the routines.
"BIOWASTE" is the correct spelling (as in ED). The 0.9.8 corrects the spelling.
I suggest to stay away from the compact view, till I release a fix for it.

Awesome job! Have definitely to try this :)

Btw, does it work with localization?

As TCE Mk.I, it comes later, when all bugs are killed. I will announce when the time has come and I am in need of volunteers for the translation.

I will show you, what is done in the back (btw, it needs no longer than a minute here, depends on how many data are available of the market):

"CONNECTING":
EDMC is called to get all available data of the market. These data is stored into the EDMC folder.

"PROCESSING":
TCE imports all EDMC exports available and compares these data with the database. During this process, TCE adds the gear, that was not discovered previously, if available. That has to be done, because there are so many different gears in ED, that I didn't found a complete list of all. All imported gear have to be checked, if they are already known to TCE. For example, you have about 1000 gear variations stored in your database, and the market you are has 500 variants to offer. All gear have to be checked (1000 x 500 queries), if some new is found. If so, new gear have to be added to the database for comparison usage. That cost much of the time, you have to wait.

"STORING":
All commodities, oufit gear and ships available are stored. Again, if the market has much to offer, the more time is needed to store all data. It depends mainly on your access time of you drive, you installed TCE. I am running on SSD drive, which is pretty fast. At the end, TCE stores your personal data, credit balance, hangar (ships you own).

So all in all, the time, it needs for the whole process depends on CPU, RAM and harddisk speed of your system.

If the data is missing from EDMC (where I am now) there is a station but no entry for a station in EDMC... PERHAPS if allowed the data can be saved from your app after editing and send the corrected data back to them?

EDMC is not an online database, it is a service to get those data. It connects to the Companion API and collects all available data.

Right, but the proggie has an option to send the data to EDDN. Dunno if that's true for the commandline version, though.

I have installed 0.9.8 and run it twice it finds all the files runs takes about four hours
and when the process is complete the box comes up..
I have run MK11 just to see if any files made it but no.
I'm just about to throw my sweets out the pram with frustration...:eek:

I suggest then, you select NO, when asked to integrate the new databases. TCE opens for you the folder thereafter, where the new databases can be found and copied by hand. A fix will be released tomorrow.
@Why it takes so long to upgrade the Mk.I? I ask, because adding a market takes here about one second (900 markets = ca. 15mins). How long it takes on your system? Are you using a SSD?

Perhaps you/I misunderstood, but if you want to use your old TCE Mk.I database and when the upgrade is finished, you got the error, you reported, because you clicked on YES to integrate, the newly created database from your old, into TCE, right? If so, click on NO instead of YES.
