Using 0.9.8. Not sure you've had this one or not, but found it just now.
Error in Commodities screen, as I was scrolling through the list, BIOWASTE was empty of any values.
Screen shots and error message attached. Let me know if you need anything else.
Checked Mk I database imported from, 'BIOWASTE' is spelt 'BIO WASTE' in that Database.
EDMC import of data says 'BIOWASTE' as 'Biowaste', this could be the problem.
I am investigating the issue, it has to do, when using EDMC. Have to check my import/setup routines for the Commodities panel. Perhaps I will completely rework the routines.
"BIOWASTE" is the correct spelling (as in ED). The 0.9.8 corrects the spelling.
I suggest to stay away from the compact view, till I release a fix for it.
Awesome job! Have definitely to try this
Btw, does it work with localization?
As TCE Mk.I, it comes later, when all bugs are killed. I will announce when the time has come and I am in need of volunteers for the translation.
Except for the error messages TCE is running, but I often have to cancel error messages.
So I have another question about the EDMC. IT`s running now and since I have no experiences from before I have a question on how to use it.
I am now in a station and the "connect" button is there. I click on it and the button changes to "processing" for a couple of minutes. Then it changes to "storing" for about the same amount of time.
Then it changes to a timer. It counts down from 1:00 to O.OO. Then the button reverts to "connect".
Can anybody tell me what`s going on, and how can I use it in TCE? Is it updating my already stored markets, or is it searching for markets in a set radius of my location?
I have not installed EliteOCR yet, but I believe it is not necessary when using EDMC. But then again, I might be wrong.
Anyone?
I will show you, what is done in the back (btw, it needs no longer than a minute here, depends on how many data are available of the market):
"CONNECTING":
EDMC is called to get all available data of the market. These data is stored into the EDMC folder.
"PROCESSING":
TCE imports all EDMC exports available and compares these data with the database. During this process, TCE adds the gear, that was not discovered previously, if available. That has to be done, because there are so many different gears in ED, that I didn't found a complete list of all. All imported gear have to be checked, if they are already known to TCE. For example, you have about 1000 gear variations stored in your database, and the market you are has 500 variants to offer. All gear have to be checked (1000 x 500 queries), if some new is found. If so, new gear have to be added to the database for comparison usage. That cost much of the time, you have to wait.
"STORING":
All commodities, oufit gear and ships available are stored. Again, if the market has much to offer, the more time is needed to store all data. It depends mainly on your access time of you drive, you installed TCE. I am running on SSD drive, which is pretty fast. At the end, TCE stores your personal data, credit balance, hangar (ships you own).
So all in all, the time, it needs for the whole process depends on CPU, RAM and harddisk speed of your system.
