Update (1.1.4) released:

Changelog:
- Added the planet id, if available, to the location list of the Summary panel.
- Fixed an issue showing the actual date as last visit of the Summary panel.
- Fixed an issue showing the fade in of the Summary panel twice, if opened manually before the auto fade in.
- Fixed highlighting of the destination button at the Navigation/Region Summary panel.
- Fixed a display issue at some panels for the distance to star value of a trade market.
- Fixed an import bug, updating star system data only for visited systems, not for added star classes.
- TCE Manual 1.0.2 updated.

Note:
Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version. There are some missing translations for the new Region Summary tab. They will be added with the next full release.

REGION SUMMARY ADDED:
The region summary will help to get an overview of star systems, trade markets and locations for a selected region.
To select a region, you have to set the region center by selecting a star system from the Navigation panel > Star System tab.
When clicked on "SET REGION CENTER" at the star system details, a small icon is displayed behind the name of the star system.
By default, the range of the region is equal to your jump limit. You can change the range by selecting the Region Summary tab.
The TRADE RANGE button is now replaced by a REGION RANGE button at the top of the panel. Click it to change the range.

The region center is always the first entry at the list of star systems. The region summary showing many statistics about the star systems within the region distance.
You can switch between percentage/number view with the '#' or '%' icons at the header of each list.

I made a backup on my DB, and now when I recover the DB I get several errors...

Error while counting records on table stars:SQL logic error or missing database no such table such as public_Stars

and same with public_Markets and public_MarketPrices....

Seen that before too

here is the db (it's actually a renamed .rar file):

Hi Eventure

Maybe I have done something really stupid here or, alternatively, I have a little problem.

Yesterday I looked at my TCE MkII Personal Data and was horrified to find it was all blank. Then I looked in the Flight Log and found there were only entries from 14 February 2016, nothing prior to that date.

I went back to previous versions of TCE MkII to see if I could trace a conversion problem - I keep the full TCE folder from previous major updates so this was not a problem. The last version that seems to have a valid database, ie the Personal Data is correct and the Flight Logs go back to 2015, is TCE MkII DB v0.9.9.9.

So I took the DB from v0.9.9.9, reinstalled TCE MkII from scratch, updated it to v1.1.4 and then converted my v0.9.9.9 DB to 1.1.4. I clicked "yes" to convert all my old data including more than 3500 log entries to the new version. The conversion completed successfully without errors. Starting TCE Mk II v1.1.4 again shows my Personal Data is blank and zero log entries except one for today!

So why haven't I picked this up before? Well I am on the DW expedition since mid January, am currently on the far side of the galactic core and so have not done any trading since mid January as there are no stations out here! I have been using TCE to record my journey and have been watching the Current Status which always updates correctly but not looked at the other info for ages.

I just wonder if the situation may correct itself if I docked at a station? Unfortunately I am currently about 30,000 LYs from the nearest one so this is currently somewhat difficult to test :(

If you wish I can send you my v0.9.9.9 DB and the 1.1.4 converted DB for you to look at or maybe you can tell me nothing is wrong and everything will be fine once I dock at a station in a couple of month's time upon my return from the far side.

Help!
Rob

Edit: DBs sent to you by email.

Hey Eventure, started playing elite again and updated everything and seem to have lost all my previously stored data (which wasn't really an issue since I was just testing things out then) but more importantly I see that my current station is not updating to show I am in a new system as it still shows me as being in my last station and system. I tried updating EDMC and trying again but still no luck. Any idea why that would happen?

@pur, RobH

Did you point TCE to the right netlog folder?

since updating to 1.1.4, I added a market and used the EDMC connect button and it didnt update anything just kept saying update required on the area and market

juszt tried using edmc directly and its not the TCE could be an issue with this specific place

will give it a try on another location tomorrow or something

can confirm this issue is not problem with TCE I have check the log in EDMC and found this

Code:
Can't see commodities market at some Outposts - "Can't get market data!"

The Frontier server that supplies the data to this app fails to supply commodity data for some outposts - particularly industrial and mining outposts. This is a known bug in Frontier's servers.

This problem is tracked as Issue #6

Thanks for reporting, there is a bug at the routine, so please extract your backup by hand into the DB folder. Next update will fix the problem.

Hi,

Just a quick question regarding using EDMC.

Does the one click add a new market and the commodities or do you need to add the market first?

Thanks,

Thanks,

You have to add the market first to get the Connect button. No market, no button. Adding a market is quite easy/fast now.

It is, although i have found in my part of space at least, the data for the markets is incorrect.
The distance to the system star for instance is nearly always wrong and the allegiance etc is hit and miss.

So advice would be once you select the market just make sure all the data is correct.

It is always reasonable to check the displayed data with the actual present.

What does the star mean in the NAVIGATION/STAR SYSTEM TAB mean?

It's not the destination I've picked as it shows a star for that system no matter what my next destination is, and I can't see a star on any other star system.

SCRUB THAT: It's the star system that's the centre of the REGION SUMMARY.

This looks very interesting and have tried over the last 2 hours get it going in Horizons.
Unfortunately no what I do I am getting the message from TCE stating it is waiting for Elite Dangerous to start.

According to the manual AppConfig.xml should be checked to make sure VerboseLogging="1" is in the networking section....it is.

I will show the full AppConfig file below. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong please let me know... I also have the antivirus turned off in case it was blocking TCE.

Cheers

Suggest, if not already fixed, do the same for AppConfigLocal.xml

I didnt have a file by that name..... reinstalled Elite Dangerous and Horizons and still had the problem.

Searched for the AppConfig file on my pc and found them in 4 different place.. made sure each one had the verbose logging line....now TCE works.
