Please send me your old database folder for a check. Thanks.

Hello Eventure,

the Error appears again, i can't modify or delete the market, It's The Flade Enterprises in System LHS 28, it has a Shipyard. Oh, and if i fly to the station, the compas shows as i would land on a planet base, this is, because the Station are display'd as a planetary base and not as a space station.

Perhaps you can send me your database folder too, to eventure(at)ki.tng.de

Sent.

I need your old, not your current. The file, you sent me, contains two files, that where added by the V1.40, so it is not your old one.

Yeah that part I know but when you do, you can't (as far as I know) add a pic for that system. So what I meant was that wen we do Click the Class/State header and manually select as star class, that would be a great time to pop up the camera window for us to take a screen shot of that star.

The pic in the summary panel showing the dominant superpower, that controls the system and has nothing to do with the Cartography or Camera panel.

Just downloaded TCE yesterday to use with ED. The TCE app will not overlay ED and I cannot figure it out. The app opens but when binded keys are pressed to display and open TCE it does not overlay in game but instead kicks out to the desktop view. It then flips between ED in game screen and desktop screen as I mouse around and click. Anyone have ideas how to fix?

Please activate the borderless window mode at the ED options in game.

Love this app... it's absolutely wonderful and perfect for those of us that don't want to have to use a second screen. However, I'm curious as to why it's not on GitHub? I ask because I keep thinking of features I'd like to try and implement or whatever but I haven't been able to find source code or anything like that? Do you want to keep your source closed or am I just not finding the link?

I realized that while playing today, not sure why I thought it had to do with the star class. Thanks.

Still that doesn't answer my question.

When we manually select the star class in a system that is already discovered in ED and that we consequently cannot scan.

Is there a way to activate the camera so that we can add a pic of it to the visualization of Cartography ?

and

Would it not make sense to pop up the cam automatically when we do add a star class manually ? Since we (or I at least) normally do that when we are at the star an not currently under threat.

The Cartography panel can only be used for unknown bodies at the moment. Currently known bodies, for example the bodies of the Sol star system or already scanned bodies out of the bubble,
can't be added to the Cartography (I would love to see this, if it is possible by the journal, but Frontier don't let us scan already known bodies again).

I raised a request for it to let us scan all available bodies, but I think it will need some time that Frontier realize, that is a common request for player's, using the journal with a 3rd party app.
As I said some (or more) posts before, manually adding already known bodies by hand is not planned at the moment, until Frontier says no.

OK that seemed to work thanks. Now only have 156!

Spotted some other glitches though.

- When mining or selling commodities back at the station the notification pop out comes up 'Unknown Commodity' and then for example 'Name:$Palladium_None'
- The panel positions for Waypoints, Cargo & Summary do not appear to be saving - I have to adjust the positions every time I start TCE
- Had a problem with the Cartography database when entering a new previously unexplored system. I jumped from Colonia to Eol Prou LW-L C8-76 and TCE detected a new system and put the information in the current position panel but then I got this message. TCE carried on running but the new system didn't show in the summary or navigation panels. Looking at the stars table in the database showed that it had not been added.

On a different note in a future releae would it be possible to have a user defined period for the time the notifications are shown? Sometimes there is so much going on with ED & TCE that I don't have time to take it all in before the notification has disappeared :(

Thanks

Further information

- In my previous post I said that Eol Prou LW-L C8-76 hadn't been added to the stars table - in fact it had but as some stars had been removed in the last update the entry names were showing as #EMPTY and TCE had started to populate these with the new stars. However even though this is the case the navigation panel is still not updating straight away and still shows me as being in the previous system visited. Closing and restarting TCE however will then show the navigation panel correctly.

- A small consequence of the deletion of some stars is that for some reason Barnard's Star has been deleted and consequently any stations that anyone may have logged against Barnard's Star will now show against a newly discovered star once the old ID for Barnard's Star is reused. I have manually adjusted the table for this, I don't know whether Eventure can do something programmatically for those of us affected but if the ID has already been reused I would think not.

Yes. I have this too, but it's not 1.4.x.x specific this has been happening for a while now in 1.3.x.x. It'd be nice to have this resolve but I've just manually modified as required up to now.

Yes, detected the issue too. But with the V1.4.0.5, when tranferring an old database, TCE will delete all doubled entries of the star system database and replacing them with #EMPTY entries. But also will TCE check the market database,
if the star system name from any market has an invalid star system ID, and replacing the ID with the proper ID from the actual star system database, created before.

Edit: If you plan to transfer your old database again with the newst version of TCE, remove the player.data file from the TCE folder to be able to import all created journal file's until now again.

Error when deleting a Scanned Image.

Found the bug, will be fixed with the next update.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I rebooted TCE and now I get the above error on startup.

Checking the DB and Date and Time are not set for LONG SIGHT BASE which was just added

Current System isn't updating in the Navigation Window

It's fine after restarting, but when I jump again it isn't updating.

Also sometimes the destination stays set to Approaching.

Exiting SC resolves the issue.

NOTE: It does't happen 100% of the time?

Incorrect System Details with a Station that shouldn't be here.

This shows that the current system has a Station, but it does not.

This shows that the station is here but really at Ch'anjie some 219.18 LY's from where I am.

Also I'm not able to delete this station.

Error saving Engineers Base Elvira.

That's okay and by default, that the time is set to zero. It shows TCE, that an update is required in case of commodities. Found the bug, if you can temporary set the engineer base to a different allegiance (e.g. form 6 to 5), it should fix it for the moment.

Isn't there a hotkey for the minimap (planetary)?

There is no hotkey, because the minimap shows up automatically, if TCE detecting a stored planetary installation near your position. Not normally not required to look at the minimap, if you don't have a registered installation near.
You can hide the panel by clicking the HIDE button. To make it visible again, click the connect button, that was turned into a minimap button.

Found the bug for the discrepancy between the Position and Navigation panel.
The 'Approaching' display shows, that you approaching the system displayed. If it shows up depends on the netlog file, how fast the info is available, that you changed the star system. The journal producing only an output, if you reach the system
and not when starting the FSD. The netlog is a bit faster than the journal, so you will receive the approaching message normally a little bit before you reach the new system. Also TCE polling every 5 seconds the journal and netlog, therefore a small delay here too.
