SMALL ISSUE:

Star Class isn't updating correctly when entering a new Star System (not in the DB)

Although that was inn Version 1.4.1.4 - I somehow missed 1.4.1.5 :S - I'll monitor in the latest version.

STARTUP ISSUE:

If the game is already loaded up and I quit out of TCE (as I have just done to update to 1.4.1.6) the Current Location I'm docked at is shown in the top bar but in the NAVIGATION PANEL it's the previous system I was at. note this has been happening for at least 4 or 5 versions. Quiing ED to main menu and logging back in restores TCE to the correct position.

What version you are using?

Since V1.4.1.5, negative value's of cargo should be fixed. An old value from a version before, because 'Nanobreakers' detected now properly?

Materials are not included in TCE, because they are not tradeable. AFAIK materials can't be bought or sold. Did it has changed?

hey there, i'm using v1.4.1.5 and its still showing negative values

^^ These negative values happened when i dropped off passengers.

Not materials but commodities can be sold on the markets and i think but not sure that some can be bought at certain stations ? maybe someone can confirm this ?

also getting another small blip in last 2 releases

small red "clear" button from waypoints panel stays on screen on some occasions, not every time, just sometimes, goes away after you show waypoints panel and then close it again.

just updated to latest version, will check over weekend if issues still occur

Hey Eventure, I've just thrown some money at you as well for all your hard work on TCE - I've been using it since TCE v1 and launch it every time I play Elite

I updated to v1.4.1.6.
After this the Game Language is always set to english, although i set it to german.
So the Commodities are also in english.

i will step back to v1.4.1.3 . this version was running fine for me.

Did you copied the also the DB/TDM files (Languages) from the update into your TCE installation?

The notes are stored at the TCE_Personal.db file. Check, if they are present. If not, get the file from your last daily backup.

Strange. After reverting to 1.4.1.5, using the latest backup DB and reapplying the 1.4.1.6 update, everything seems to be fine.
Absolutely no clue what could've happened.

Please try the following, if you like:

I've just encountered a random error. I'm in an uninhabited system exploring and this popped up. I don't have Explosives in my cargo, I do have a mission to get some Explosives, but I haven't had an update to that mission, which happens occasionally such as deliver else where or quicker or people are after you.

Clicking OK and this was show:

Then I continually got this error, when selecting continue, so I quit out of TCE

I forgot to get the details though

I then verified the DB just in case, no issues shown. Loaded TCE up again and my current location shown in the Top bar isn't where I am nor does it match the location in the NAVIGATION PANEL. Quit out of ED to main menu which usually resolves this issue and it did.

I have tried multiple times to restore from an automatically backed up database but every time I get 0 registered markets. Not that fussed TBH, I'll rebuild it eventually.

Yes, 183 items in Resource.db according to the launcher. I'll hunt now and see if I can find the journal log file... Where will I find them on Win10?

I have problem with dual display setting. I play in Elite on secondary display but TCE Mk.II is always visible on default display and i can't change it. But resolution for app is set as this from my secondary display and I can't even see anything. Can app take the display from elite settings or can it be customizable?

1. There is a bug with dual monitor settings, the fix is currently in testing.
2. Are you not able to move the panels to the position, you like? If you don't know, how to move a panel, read this:

Question: How to move the panels across the screen?
Answer: All panels could be moved by click+hold onto the panel name. For the Main UI, you have to select CONTROLS > PANEL to display the panel name. You can move it from the top to the bottom, if you like. The three bottom panels (Waypoint, Credit and Summary) could be also be moved to the top. They will adapt accordingly.

Hi all,

I am new to forum and using TCE (or any other kind of addon for Elite). I am running 1.4.1_6. I am a bit confused about how the updates are meant to work for market data, outfitting etc. I have created a starter database for TCE Relay within a 100ly radius. Does this actually update (live) market data for these star ports ? It seems to know some and not others. Outfitting data seems to be only visible once you visit the station ? Is this correct ? What is the best way to use the addon for trading ? Trade Route finder or Auto Destination by highest profit ? Everytime I use the trade finder it keeps changing when I get to the port it tells me to go and rarely originates the trade from the system I am currently on. What am I doing wrong ? Sorry for all the questions.

TCE itself is meant as a tool for you to have a local database of places you've been, markets you've registered, etc. It does not (yet, by default) pull live information to update the markets you've been to with current data. TCE-Relay is meant to fill that gap, by allowing you to define a distance from your current position, and querying EDDN (I think that's the right acronym) for updated prices for all those markets inside that range TCE-Relay only does this for markets which you have registered yourself, or ones which exist in the "starter" database that TCE offers. That is why TCE-Relay is updating prices for some markets, but not others. You simply haven't been to those other markets yet and registered them, so TCE-Relay doesn't pull info for those locations.

I'll leave your other questions for someone else to answer, as I have largely been doing mining, not trading.

I arrived for the first time in Zeessze at Nicollier Hanger. When I added the market and when it went to connect to submit updates it got FALSE as a result. I tried upgrading to 1.4.1.6 and same result. It always gets FALSE and cannot update.
I've added lots of other markets tonight and they updated without issue.

Thanks very much for the explanation. A couple of questions related to your answer if I may. Do I have to do anything special when I visit a system that isn't on the database apart from simply clicking the "add system" button ? Do I need to "Modify" systems that were on the starter database but I hadn't visited ? Do I "have" to use the OCR scan on the markets (which I am finding a bit lengthy) or once the system is in my database it will update via EDMC ?
