I have looked every where I can, and have come to the conclusion, that even though my graphics card is able to play ED, unless I can change resolution to 1680x1050 TCE MK II will never work for me. Changed to FOV many times, still getting screen res error message. Any other ides I might try? or am I out of luck till I get another laptop

Notes:
This full version requires a new installation of TCE and a transfer of the databases from a previous version. Do not install this full version over your old.
Please check here, how to install a new full version, when used an older version before.
1. Rename your current TCE folder (e.g. D:\TCE.old).
2. Install the new full TCE Version (e.g. D:\TCE).
3. Run the TCE Launcher.
4. Select Database -> Transfer -> Choose old folder (D:\TCE.old).
5. After scanning, select Start Transfer.
If you find an error, please report and use the Report an Error button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details.
I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in russian to help in translating the
latest interface phrases at OneSky. Thanks in advance.
Can you send me the databases from the old TCE version, from where you tried to transfer?
Maybe it's helpful to show me, when exactly the error happens (screenshot).
Thanks.
@To bypass the issue, you can copy/paste your old database, as long as it is a V1.5.6 or later version by hand to your new installation, including the TCE.config and player.data file from the root.

You are always welcome!
Release day is sometimes fickle, sometimes not, depending on how much optimizations are done in the back, but here it was only a small typo, that cause an overwrite of the TCE_Cartography database after the transfer.
Then you should switch to EDMC, which replaces the need of OCRing the commodities. One click onto the Connect button at the UI of TCE, and all commodity data of the market are available. Checkout the guide to setup EDMC here.
Otherwise EliteOCR have a min. resolution of 1680x1050, so you can't actually use the OCR method to gain the data. The last option you have, is the manual input of the data, but it's up to you.
I don't mean to sound ungrateful, but is there anyway I can permanently shut off the minimap? I have no use for it and all it does is annoy me. I've never even seen anything show up in the minimap anyway. The manual says it's supposed to show registered surface bases but I've never seen anything, and why does it pop up at other random times? I've seen it in hyperspace between stars, in combat, etc.
I have some questions about the trade computer. I have a ground station that is in my database but the prices only update when I visit. Is this normal? I thought stations in my database get updated through eddb? Eddb shows update of 4 hours ago and my last update was 5.18.3303.
EDIT: I found that I need to run TCE RELAY by looking through this thread. I tried but was unable to connect to server. Ill try that again tomorrow.
