Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Please sent me a complete bug report, otherwise I can't do much. Could be something with the file (\DB\TCE_Outfitting.db).
You could reset the database and fill it again with the EDDB-Relay.

In a row?
Yes, the flyout (and event reporter log), both show the expected (scanned value, etc) and the last flyout is "remove hud by ctrl..." (not the exact words, but it's telling you how to remove the hud). That flyout (remove hud...) shows twice. i.e., it shows the four expected flyouts, with the last being 'remove hud...' and then they go away (only 4 at time?) and then 'remove hud..' flys out again all by itself.

HI have a bug and cannot report through Launcher.
I have come back to Elite after afew years away. I had an older version of TCE, uninstalled it and installed 1.6.7.3. Used the icon on my desk-top which generates a window which is new to me - "select commander" window. I only have one commander, so select that, hit Login, and I get a screen full of "reading records" errors:
- Error while reading records on table LOC_Rares: SQL logic error no such table: public_LOC_Rares
- Error while reading records on table Markets_UR:Index was outside the bounds of the array
- Error while reading records on table Materials: SQL logic error no such table: public_Materials
- Error while reading records on table Duplicates: SQL logic error no such table
- Error while reading records on table Powers: SQL logic error no such table: public_Powers
- Error while reading records on table OutfitTypes:Index was outside the bounds of the array

Any suggestions what I have done wrong, please?

Are you trying to use a dB from a very old version? If so I very much doubt it will be compatible.

Go to extensions and create a new db, doing that will mean you'll have 67k worth of station data.

I strongly advise that you read the wiki, link is in the launcher.

You are using a database from an old/outdated version with the new version of TCE, that's why TCE complaining, there are some missing.
Please install TCE into a new folder and use the EDDB-Relay to fill your database with crowdsourced data, if your wish.

Thanks that solved it. I had tried deleting the old C:\TCE folder and installing, but this time I did that and also installed to C:\NewTCE\, and that has worked. Note that if something like this happens you cannot get to the launcher to see the Wiki!

Potential Bugs:
1.-Mission List Window not refreshing after missions turned over. Still listing missions when transactions window has none listed (navigation panel)
2.-Destination Select is in manual state, not switching to auto destination as before (selecting best market to sell)
3.-Clicking on any mission on the TCE window that display missions set the destination to the mission location (but missions do not exist under navigation > transactions because they were completed)
4.-Selecting a loop route and clicking on start the route not working = not showing destinations nor purchase or sell. It just remains unchanged
5.-Cartography window is showing two star systems only. Weird, as the "NAVIGATION" window has a range of 50 LY and it is showing 839 Systems and 2,009 Markets. My initial DBase download was done for 500 LY.
NOTE: those issues were not happening yesterday until early afternoon (USA Central time) when I last played.

No Error Messages
Program is not crashing and all pop ups are working Ok when changing whenever a change in state of the Ship/Commander calls for it. Ex.: changing systems, fueling, cargo, etc.
I re-install TCE a second time (latest version) it cleared the missions list (already completed) but it did it again.

After Patch:
After ED Market Connector update 3.0 came out I uninstalled both "ED Market Connector" and "TCE MK.II". All databases were deleted (including folders ending in .OLD and registry entries cleaned for ED Market Connector).

Is there anything I can do on my end (setting to select/change) to get rid of those issues (potential bugs)?

Hi there,

1. The Mission panel is actually only updated, if you have activated the Option 'Auto-Select Mission Destination' under the Auto-Destination tab of the Options panel. This will change with the next update.
2. The Auto-Destination function have two modes: Manual and Auto. Both modes didn't activate the other automatically, you have to switch between them manually.
3. That is right, that a click on a mission sets a destination, but a completed mission should be removed, check 1., if you have activated the option.
4. Did you completed the Route Register properly (checkmarks before all markets at the register)? Otherwise the start buttton won't work. A screenshot may clear things up.
5. The EDDB-Relay didn't provide any cartography data. You have to gather your own data. TCE have more than 88k star system registered, knowing, where they are and what the name is. The number of bodies and their data is not included.
This would go too far, because the EDDB body file is more than 2 GB big.

Hope that helps.

The Wiki link is posted at the first post of the thread, where you used the link to download TCE and also available in my sig.

somehow after getting TCE up and running, it crashed while in ED and the application file deleted. When I tried reinstalling to the directory, it wouldn't let me do so

Your anitvirus app doing the trouble, please make an exception for TCE.

Small suggestion: would it be possible to have the mission giving faction (and perhaps the faction on the receiving end) visible in the active missions list?
Even ED itself fails to communicate that after accepting a mission. Pretty sure it's in the journal, though.
Could be a non-permanent line where you'd have to click a symbol to show it if you think it would cluster up the list.

How about a tooltip info, when over the mission icon?

Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFile.7z archive.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, spanish or russian to help in translating the
latest interface, common and rare commodities phrases at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

Outstanding.

edit: could you please, after opening the active missions overview per hotkey, send the focus back to ed?

Do you ever sleep? :) I failed to send an detailed error report, the mail with the big attachment didn't go through but it did not happen again anyways. But du to this and a few other mishaps (TCE would sometimes hang and not update anymore) I have now a list of 8 missions that in reality are already done. How can i get rid of them?

Either wait for expire date or remove them manually from the DB, but I will add something to the next update.
Do you speaking of mishaps of the latest release?

yes. mishaps in versions before 1.6.7.4

And right now I see another issue happening again:

I landed at a planetary base but TCE does not recognize that. It gives a general location and I see no way to add that station manually. The "New Market" screen is empty (not prefilled as it used to be)

I see in the nav panel that we can filter markets for those that have a material trader. That is good, but with the three types (raw, manufactured, and data) it is not as helpful as it could be. If the specific type can't be seen/pulled by TCE, is there a way we can add that info ourselves? Right now, I'm putting a note in the nav/system notes section, but it would be nice if we could sort/filter somehow to see where the closest mat trader of the type we need is located.

Hey Eventure re-running the Auto-Detection fix both machines issue with the starting system but now I am getting this weird graphic glitch with the Factions Icon any ideas?

Yes, using a picture with higher resolution for the Faction image at the Personal panel, but this affecting also the icon-based UI. I will add an automatic resize to the images, used by the UI with the next update.
I'm using usually the text-based UI, so I oversaw this behaviour.

There is not specific type reported by the journal, only if one is there or not. So the Note section would be the best place for that info.
You can search through the notes, as like others, to find the closest trader of the type.

Problem found, please activate the Minimap panel in the options, until a new update arrives.
The Database panel is no longer prepopulated, because all stations got automatically registered on approach, docked or on launch of TCE. So please search after a market (Modify Entry and enter the name) to edit it, if required.

Pretty nice application. I really like it, although my PC turns off due to too much heat after about 30 Minutes playing ED wit it.

It reaches temperatures greater than 85 and my PC turns off.

GPU is an 980 ti with current driver version.

Nevermind. Now PC turned of without your application running.
