Hi,
I installed 1.7.0.1 for a new alt on the weekend and it updated to 1.7.0.3. Saw the cartography etc has been expanded a lot since I last looked, so installed also for my main (1.7.0.3), but I've hit some snags

I've installed to a new directory to avoid picking anything up from a previous install - figured the app can read through the logs anyway.

After the initial detect etc, I told it to read all the logs....that took all day.
So around 11pm, I was finally able to launch and it detected the 800 unprocessed logs, so I said yes to processing the...and got a bunch of errors:

I ok'd them all which took about 40 mins. I thought initially it was the old format files, but it was still happening even with 3.0 files. Once it was done, TCE opened but I shut it down to go to bed.

Now, TCE will not even get to the launch page (hence no bug report...can't get to that). There's a about a half dozen of these pop-ups with a different table references (I didn't get them all, but can if it helps).

Obviously, I've done something very wrong

Happy to hear pointers to try and get this working. [BTW, the two Elite accounts are running as different windows profiles so there's no crossover]

the errors showing me, that you are using some outdated databases with the actual version of TCE.

Please do the following:
1. Install the actual version of TCE into a new folder.
2. Launch TCE without processing unprocessed journals (the process collecting primary cartography data, which can be done later on with the rescan function at the launcher).

I have found the issue with the RequestDocking event, which has to do with older journal files, but the Reading Records error are definately coming from your used database files from an earlier version of TCE (because the required tables are missing the data).
Don't overwrite an old installation with a newer version or don't copy outdated databases by hand into the new version. This has to be done with the Transfer routine at the Database tab of the Launcher.

Feel like an idiot......the shortcut was still pointing to the old install and even though I was sure I had started from the exe directly, clearly I was wrong.....after I renamed the old folder and started the new one....all starts fine now. So i must have been starting the old folder in error like an idiot.

TL;DR: Kaspersky detected PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic in the 1.7.0.3 full installer msi during installation. [weird]

Detail:
This might just be me and my setup as I haven't seen any other posts from skimming the recent thread but:

When auto-upgrading from 1.6.9.4 to 1.7.0.3 it restarted and had a C# runtime error. So I went to download the 1.7.0.3 full installer.

Mid-way through the install, Kaspersky flagged the 1.7.0.3 full installer MSI as a PDM:Trojan.Win32.Generic and later Windows Defender triggered some auto-repair stuff ( temporary internet files location).
I haven't had issues installing or upgrading TCE prior to this, barring the odd runtime error here and there.

Hi Eventure,
A While ago I reported that the Mission remaining times were not showing up correctly in TCE and the time remaining in TCE was different to in the Left Panel in Game.
I have discovered the issue. because I am based in Australia and am in the UTC +10 timezone this seems to be what is causing the problem.
If I set my Computers clock to the UTC timezone the mission time remaiining in the mission panel matches the time remaining showing in the left panel (Image 1) but with my computer time set to the correct timezone for normal use, UTC +10 Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra the times are about 10 hours different.

I got an error when in the nav panel, filters, with "explored" already selected, I went to add a filter for "inner system locations". When I didn't see what I wanted, I didn't have any apparent way to click without selecting. So I clicked in the gray area below the options listed, and got an error.

However, I was looking for a way to filter the star systems for those that I had visited, and those that have a station of any type (orbis/corilois/with economy/without economy). I don't see this option anywhere in the star systems filters. I tried "only populated" and that reduced some of the systems, but still included systems with no stations for some reason. If I'm not missing it, can you add a filter to only show those that have a station?

Error Null Value

Something weird happened. ED exited to desktop and I could not get back into the game. I had to ctrl alt del the program. I exited TCE normally. Now when it loads, I get to the launch screen just fine. After pressing the launch button, the progress bar moves to 60% where it normally reads the journal files then the following runtime error occurs and TCE Stops. Pressing the continue button does nothing:

1) what version of this extension you are using,

You need to provide your TCE Error Files, you can do this from the launcher, "REPORT A BUG" then email it to Eventure eventure@ki.tng.de

That fixed it. As a VB programmer, I'd include the path to the file and even better add an email .dll to send the file to you with the info, error data and file attached rather than rely on the user to do it. Especially since he/she does not know where it is!

Weird stuff with Bounties/Auto Destination

I'm getting some odd behavior.

1. Auto-destination is not updating correctly, for the first 10-15 minutes of playing, no destination comes up (Even with Auto-Destination on). Then, some random system and station will populate in there, not related at all to where I'm going (In fact I don't know what it's related to, I have no on-going missions, etc.) Even when I select new stations, it never changes.

2. The bounty page is acting funny. It shows XXX Millions in credits earned from bounties, but 0 bounties turned in. Also, I was under the impression that the active bounties would show you what system you need to go to in order to turn that bounty in? All of my faction bounties point to the system that the bounty was executed in, and I don't think any of the stations I've visited have the option of turning in the bounties.

Anything I can check to make sure this is working correctly?

You can select something you don't want, then immediately clear the filter.

However, I was looking for a way to filter the star systems for those that I had visited, and those that have a station of any type (orbis/corilois/with economy/without economy). I don't see this option anywhere in the star systems filters. I tried "only populated" and that reduced some of the systems, but still included systems with no stations for some reason. If I'm not missing it, can you add a filter to only show those that have a station?

Fixed the issue, the X button closes the dropdown, if you want to cancel the selection.
Will add a filter 'Has Registered Markets' to the filter window with the next update.

The Auto-Destination will select a trade station within your selected Trade Range (selectable at the Navigation panel), if the Trade Advisor (shown at the Trade Overview panel) finds any profitable commodity between your actual trade station and a market within your database.

So, without a bug report (use the 'Report a Bug' button at the launcher or at the Options panel), I can't say, where the problem is on your side.
If you want to select a manual destination, click at the Destination display, select a market from the Navigation panel and use the SET AS DESTINATION button at the Details section below the list of markets to set the selected market as your current destination.

The displayed values (Bounties Profit, Claimed and Highest Single Reward) come directly from the journal output (Stats event), so I can't do anything in this case.
The displayed destination for an active bounty will be fixed with the next version.

I'm using a 'Mailto' process, which sadly doesn't support adding attachments to an email. Any .dll type approach I checked would be too intrusive from my point of view.
I have added now the path to the file at the text body, so a user could find it easily.

This message appear, if TCE can't calculate a route between your destination and your current position, because of there are not enough recorded star systems in between or your max. jump range is too low to reach a star system on the route to the selected destination.

First things first: using TCE for some time now and would miss something if it wasn't running. Awesome tool!
I noticed a small inconvenience though: Either I am too blind to find it or there is no button or/and hotkey for toggling the minimap on planets. Also, when set to show up automatically on entering orbit, but then turning off the whole TCE overlay for, let's say screenshooting, it automatically reactivates until closed via "hide" button.
