Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

When using two computers, please copy all database files (at DB and CMDR folder) into the destination folder, not only the Exploration database. The TCE_Exploration.db file is connected to the TCE_Stars.db and TCE_Cartography.db file/database.
The Cargo panel has nothing to do with the clipboard. The star system name is copied into the clipboard as soon as the destination location appears at the Destination display, but will check the auto-exploration specific case.

I just tested it... The Auto Exploration box is updating, but it did not update the clipboard until I activated and hid the Carto panel.

Can you point me to the displayed issue, where it was shown?

It's actually doing it for every planet. I think it might be that the Planet Radius is being displayed in meters instead of kilometers, but the calculation for gravity is using kilometers.
For instance, Traikee OM-W D1-61 A4 is showing a radius of 7,602,971 km, where it should be 7,603 km (if rounded).

Look in Carto / View Database

Math issue... NGC 6188 Sector HR-W d1-20 A4, for example is 1.36G, but TCE is showing 13.3g.

Good Spot

In the image below the Gravity should be 0.56G

And Planet radius has been multiplied by 1000 as it should be 3,557KM not 3,556,706KM

Thanks, found and fixed it. I missed a division by 9.79 for the gravity.

As shown at bAdbUd's screenshot, the radius is display as 3,556.706 KM, so it is properly displayed, but maybe hard to read. Increase the font size, if required.

Ah, ok. Hard to tell , and . on my screen...

Never heard/read of it. How come?

The value is shown in a scan (at the journal event) of the Sol star system, where the Earth has a value of 9.797759 m/s² stated for the gravity.
So the value comes directly from the game and so I think it is the base for all gravity values for all planets in game.

Gravity values in real depending on your location, where is was measured, pole region has a higher value than the equator region for instance.

Thanks for the explanation. I'll keep that in my mind when I next come to Sol to make some test. The values are similar enough to not make much of a difference.

Version [1.7.1.7] released

Changelog:
- Fixed an error when adding star systems to a flight plan, which are unknown to TCE and EDSM data missing the coordinates or star class at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed an error when importing an exploration flight plan and a star system is unknown to TCE.
- Fixed an display issue with the gravity value of a planet at the Cartography panel.
- Fixed a missing update of the clipboard if an exploration is active.

Notes:
Either download the version above, install and transfer your old database, or use the auto-update function of the launcher.
Click the 'new version' notice at the bottom of the launcher.

If you find an error, please report and use the Report a Bug button at the launcher and don't forget to copy the error details and ErrorReportFiles.7z archive.

I like to remind any user, who wants to use TCE in french, spanish or russian to help in translating the
latest interface phrases, common commodities and rare commodities at OneSky. Thanks in advance.

Mission panel not updating

Just a small thing I thought I'd tell you. I have 9 misions and the missions panel only shows 2.
I collected 7 missions and then logged out came back in solo and collect another 2. Is it possible to update manually the panel?
Thanks as always

(I can supply files if you want)

Hi Scotty,

was TCE running at the time you have accepted the missing missions?
If so, was TCE showing the new missions?

Send me your files via the report a bug button and include the journal for the session, you have accepted the missions and the next one too.

Ok I dont have any missions now as I completed them. I'll check next time -- is that ok? or is it still worth sending you the files?

I was basically board hopping. I had 5 and then got more when i logged back in.

I have had the same happen as Scotty113, but it's not new to the latest release, it's been occurring for awhile -- but it's a minor annoyance not a showstopper so I never really bothered to report.

It occurs exactly as Scotty explained -- if you accept missions, then log out and come back in, accept more missions, the mission count seems to "forget" the originally saved missions, e.g.:

Session 1: Accept 7 missions
Log out of Elite, either completely or just to main menu. Quit TCE or don't; doesn't make a difference as I recall.
Session 2: After logging back into Elite, TCE shows either 0 missions, or 7 until you accept a new one and then it drops to just 1 mission (I forget the exact flow on this point). Accept 10 new missions.
During Session 2: Completing one of the original 7 missions accepted during Session 1 does not decrease TCE's mission count. Completing one of the 10 missions accepted in Session 2 does.

I just had it happen over the weekend. I'll see if I can find the relevant journal files when this occurred. Failing that, I'll try to recreate and will report as Bug.

Found this website from the British Geological Society which gives a formula for calculating the local gravity: http://www.npl.co.uk/reference/faqs...onal-acceleration-and-altitude-(faq-pressure)

The base value they use is 9.780327 for g, with the altitude and longitude determining the offset against this value. So I guess that Frontier probably picked a point somewhere on Earth (maybe their headquarters in Cambridge), filled it into this formula and set the value of 1 g at that value.

--- edit ---

Just found the gravimetric data for the UK and the nearest point to Cambridge I can find has a local gravity of 9.8124552 m/s^2, so they didn't use Cambridge for the number. I guess they picked a place close to the equator.

Bug report sent with error report file and 3 journal files.

Thanks for the report, will try to recreate the issue.
I found a bug when updating the expire date for a mission on startup of ED. This may could lead to an abnormal termination of a mission.
Please check then, if the lost mission is now listed at the Mission History of the Personal panel.
