Trading and the background simulation Issues [ Backwards Trading ]

I'll trade at the weekend.
Think I'll plan a nice long trip, to see the edge of the inhabited galaxy.
See if the markets are global, or flexible.

Just my observations today (23rd) following the server update on the 22nd.

Over the last few hours the markets have changed dramatically for the better...

Compare these two screenshots, same station a few hours apart.
I wasn't playing, just logged in to take a comparison screenshot, but since then have been able to make more use of the in-game tools to trade and make fair profits.

12:49 today - things still not looking good:

15:24 today - what a difference a few hours make:

The Lithium highlighted is one of those affected by backwards trading.. its still affected but the quantity has dropped significantly, so that part is on the mend, another day or so perhaps.
But overall, it does indeed seem like this issue will soon be behind us.

Demand is up, prices are up (where appropriate). Overall, much improved with lots more high demand at various stations ;)

Thank you FD, great work!

It is better, much better, but there are still ways it's "off". Take a look at "Tawi" on the galaxy map. It's clearly yellow, and an industrial / extraction system. Take a look at the system view, and go to de Kamp Dock.

According to the system view it imports:-

Platinum
Palladium
Gold

and exports:-

Food Cartridges
Basic Medicines
Liquor

Now go to the commodities screen for de Kamp Dock (obviously you have to be there to see this). Whilst Food Cartridges and Basic Medecines are both produced there, and are in high supply, you'll find Liquor with medium demand, no (ie not zero) supply, and no buy price. There's also no import / export system associated with Liquor. Six ships passed through in the last 24 hours, apart from my Asp (with no cargo brought or taken) there were three Haulers and two Cobras, so player trading couldn't account for this.

At least regards Liquor, the information provided in the system view is simply incorrect.
