I've worked on enough code projects to understand that this doesn't rule that method out. This makes the most sense because if it went by until when X system shows in game as ticked it would be stupidly sloppy.

My group has done enough hard won wars to prove that once the state tick shows the war win/lost counter move that anything after it counts for the next tick. Now for the influence tick I can't say 100% but it seems to be once state tick happens everything after is counted for next day based on my groups previous BGS work. But you know the BGS is a mystery so even with proof it can still be false lolI've worked on enough code projects to understand that this doesn't rule that method out.
this used to be the case, but currently is mostly, but isn't always the case. unfortunate for daily bgs play, but crucial for bgstesting.I believe once the tick starts it locks in the entire galaxy so anything that is done after is for the next tick even tho it takes around 4 hours for everything to calculate.
Yeah I hate when the cooldowns don't apply. My faction had a few invasions where it just decided to skip the pending war state and go right into active war.Yeah, just this week I had a faction leap over the loser of a war to go to a second war with the winner. From below. When I was wanting to get them locked so I could push the winner of the war down past the two of them without triggering another war.
(yes, I was doing another of my "hand a bunch of surface settlements to the anarchists in a system and then kick said anarchists right down to the bottom so they can't lose them" arrangements)
There is no pending war state when it comes to invasions if memory serves me right. It's been a while since we've invaded anyone.Yeah I hate when the cooldowns don't apply. My faction had a few invasions where it just decided to skip the pending war state and go right into active war.
