Trailblazer Echo - Universal Cartographics lockdown

BTW, What exactly do I go for in the system? Is it ANY wanted ships, PMF ships or what?
Anything that gives you a bounty reward that you can cash in. (eg combat bonds would not count, but I don't think there are any combat zones in the system anyway)

Faction doesn't matter; the services are suspending operations because the system has become so lawless that workers and assets aren't safe. Taking out anything with a bounty helps reduce lawlessness, no-matter what faction the criminal is.

bounties issued by the brewer faction help lift brewer lockdown. (bounties from other factions collected in the system will not count. bounties collected from other brewer systems turned in in the cg system do count).
there is a possibility that just killing criminals could affect lockdown, but it is afaik untested and in no way reliable.

Unfortunately no, being Allied with Brewer Corp does not make any difference to the Lockdown status imho it should

doh... So the Megaship is really influenced by the faction status? Sucks, so basically looks like I have to hope that it loses the status in the next tick.

I'm a bit lost... Flew to Trailblazer Echo after shortening my planned exploration trip, accepted the CG mission, but some services on the Trailblazer Echo are on lockdown for me. I have no clue why...

Well that's a bummer...
I work my ass off to keep myself in the top 25 and now I read in Inara that they extend the CG 6 mores day sheshhh.
Strange that it happening when the graph was going down Humm !!! :)
Collecting planet data is like farming for engineering equipment. It turn a game like a job, not funny when you are retired. :)

Even if you don't stay in the top 25%, the extra days means more people submitting more data, which means the community goal could achieve its top tier, increasing the payouts, offsetting your not being in the top 25%. If you wanted top25 for the "glory" ahem then that might not help, but materially it might not make much difference

(As you already know) everything you get from the community goal can be obtained by other methods and without grinding, so I don't think it's a good idea to grind for a CG payout; it sucks to wake up and realise that the game brings you no joy any more, you've burned yourself out on it. (Fortunately there are plenty of other games to play until the itch returns :D )

But I guess sometimes you just want the glory of being in the top25% ;)

I did some exobio while I was out collecting planet data. That's already paid more than the top community goal payout could ever be, and I don't need the credits anyway, but breaking up the activities between FSS planet discovery and surface exploration of landables I found that had lots of bio signatures, it made for a better expedition. Especially because it meant that when using the FSS I wasn't just chugging along to accumulate planet scans, I was searching for a good place to do exobio. I think searching in addition to collecting made a nice difference.

WTG @varonica!

If you check the USS's in the FSS it will have a name of the faction on it, some USS's have the Brewer Corp tag, I tend to pick those because hostile ships there have got to be against Brewer Corp right? I also picked a distress signal out that had Brewer Corp tag and a drifting ship was there and I got a message to gather data for Brewer Corp, this increased Brewer Corps influence in the system, so while bounty hunting is probably the easiest way to lift their influence because there are plenty to hunt, other stuff will probably count as well towards lifting the lockdown.

Hehe... No it's not the glory, it's the money. I just bought the new ships and start over as a new cmdr because I was in colonia. I left my fleet over there. So 125m instead of 75m would be nice :) I made money with exobio and it is way more money than scanning systems. But it's good to change and do something else. But I appreciate your comments. 07 Cmdr

Does bounty hunting in HIP 90578 actually help? The system has a nice haz-rez extraction site. If I go bounty hunt there and turn n my bounty at "Tailblazer Echo" does this count?

If the bounty is issued by Brewer Corp (i.e. they are paying the bounty), then yes, it should help.

Dug out my secondary account, scraped together some credits for an unengineered Krait MK2 and am doing bounties as well. :)

Amazingly, it's explorer variant - the Phantom - is serving me well as a bounty hunter. More maneuverable than I expected and pretty fast too.

As long as you were in the top 25 before the lockdown, you're fine, like me. The minimum submissions to stay in that range is 515 (I've submitted 764) and that's not changing unless the lockdown lifts and more people submit data. If anything, people like you and me should be fighting FOR the pirates. 🤣 Details on Inara CG page. https://inara.cz/elite/communitygoals/

I'm not geared for fighting yet. It's a brand new account and I have to do all my engeneering again and my guardian gear. I may be back from Synuefe on time and have my MkV ready. I still have my last load of data that I was suppose to drop before the lockdown too (Bummer). Tks for the tips.

If you want to start with fighting slowly - there are (were, yesterday) also a set of lower difficulty RESes in the rings of planet 11. I also found "Weapons Fire (Threat 1)" POIs, which held one lowly Eagle. Just... be careful when you enter a Threat 3 POI - that one held a couple of wings of 3 Vultures, plus one friendly FdL that kept them occupied for part of the time.

Oh - and don't start a fight with an expert level DBX in a RES. At least not if you rely on thermal weapons. They're tough as nails even with the shields down and hard to hit. Not worth the effort.

Myself and some squad mates have gone into a couple of these Pirate Threat Level 7 sites and engaged some of the pirates. We had brought 2 fully engineered Federal Corvettes, 1 fully engineered Anaconda and 1 fully engineered Krait Mk 2.

We targeted and engaged these pirate ships one at a time, and we choose to attack each ship singley. Meaning we choose to NOT attack pirates that were in a wing

We chose one target, then closed to a range of about 1km then all fired at once. It took almost a full minute and a half of constant Multicannon, Laser fire to cut thru their shields and almost another 2 min of firing to bring their hull to zero

I don't know what they had for shields but it was more powerful than what I have seen in this game. Where do I get those kind of shields.

I've been on exploration a long time so he'll be cool to learn new thing in that game. I see a guy on youtube using Guardian plasma charger on his MKV so seem to be a good setup to start with... I hope :)
