Also, maybe try swivel chair?
While I do have that it would be wrong.
Maybe when im playing something like star trek bridge commander. =P
Also, maybe try swivel chair?
Got a HTC VIVE before I got a new computer and well, it is playable but with an AMD 460 and old Core2Quad quadcore computer im VERY limited with visuals.
But the IMMERSION blow me away regardless of visible pixels.
A few things I do wonder that I could not find:
- Any way to increase the sensitivity of the headset a bit, im literally hurting my neck swiveling between viewscreens unlike the small head nods with the Track-Ir.
- Also, galaxy maps and writing system names for travel is a PITA since the game REALLY could need a virtual keyboard or SOMETHING since you would need to use the (now) invisible keyboard.
The main bottleneck I seem to see among users is the graphic card since if we want any sharpness in visuals it's supersampling and that eats resources like a hungry kitten wallowing in food.
2) The galaxy and system maps are 3D. Your mouse is 2D. Using a 2D device in 3D space doesn't translate very well. Go into settings, and bind some of your chosen controllers' axis to operate these maps. It takes a bit of practice, like all new control schemes, but soon you'll be zipping around these maps like a pro.
3) Always zoom out in the system map before panning across it.
