Tritium Mining in the black

How long does it take to mine 1000t of tritium out in the black? Is this comparable to what LTD mining was?
How common is tritium? Will I find hotpots often?
What game play loop have you been using with FCs out in the black?
These questions are aimed at determining the viability of a FC for exploration both by oneself and with others.

I haven't been checking exactly the time, but I have been doing about 256t in 1h30 in normal tritium hotspot until yesterday. About 160t tritium + 95t of other good stuff in other hotspots in about 2h. I still need to check after the last patch.

About that, I have heard of people stocking 10kt in the FC, how can you do that? I have space only for 4kt in mine. Or am I missing something?

in the right hand menu, you can move anything you are carrying on your ship to the FC while you are docked to it.

Cut back on installed services and stuff you have loaded for the community market? All of that eats space. I have 10k Tritium stored and lots more room, as I have nothing in Commodity and only refuel and repair currently installed.

Yes, that is my understanding. But I have all services except for black market and outfitting, no other cargo of any kind, no cargo for the market, but when I use the "transfer" function from my ship I get only 4kt available. I thought I had to add something to get more free space. I need to check what are the FC stats.

Sounds like your doing it right to me. How many ships do you have on there? On the FC management screen, how much space does it say is used?

Do you have any buy orders in the market? I believe space is reserved for that, but I could be mistaken.

I do have 9 ships in total (3 anacondas, 2 kraith mkII, one asp explorer, one beluga, one T9 and one mamba), plus spare modules. FC says free space 20,636 (83%). That's why I don't really understand what I get when I transfer to the FC...
