Doesn't New Zealand also have a few tropical Areas? But I definitely agree that they could've done way better with the Biomes
A very small bit slice if the very northern area is subtropical.

Technically even the far north is temperate according to universal climate (e.g. Köppen), as well as biome classification systems (e.g. Global 200). However, some local classification systems consider the northern tip to be subtropical to some extent. That being said, for the sake of consistency the entire globe should use the same classification system, therefore local classification systems should be ignored.Doesn't New Zealand also have a few tropical Areas?
If your project is in the Northland temperate kauri forests ecoregion (you can check using the Global 200 link I've provided), then I guess you can assume it is somewhat subtropical, even though it is still considered to be temperate according to universally accepted classification systems.Hope that my North Island Conservation Center is in that Region then. Would be pretty annoying to find out afterwards that I've built in a Place that is temperate in Real Life
I actually still think the game's custom/simplified biome system can be useful to a lot of players, as long as the consistency issues are fixed. I would also add maybe one or more types, but it is a bit too late for that now. Maybe in the sequel. For the time being, their priority should be fixing the discrepancies within the existing system. The biome systen in the game hss nothing to do with real life biomes.
