Right well I'm going to leave this post alone for a while because I'm getting irritated with how salty everyone is getting. WE'VE FOUND THEM NOW! Fair enough getting annoyed earlier but now we have found them all a whole lot of people on here seem to want to do is complain, I don't understand it.
Fair enough it's annoying that Fixed POI's are bugged, I get that, but no one had reported it until I did the other day so how were FD supposed to know? All that matters now is that they have been found, I'm sick of this conspiracy theory "oh they conveniently show up now" crap. It's childish and doesn't get us anywhere.

Calling employees of Frontier liars on our forums is a swift way to getting your access to these forums completely revoked. This is the only public warning I'm going to give regarding these sort of posts. We do not tolerate harassment of employees on our forums.

Post respectfully and constructively, and we won't have issues.

Thank you.

Wholeheartedly concur.

While I absolutely agree, it is also painful to think about how many hours were collectively wasted by CMDRs searching for barnacles in SOLO play. They simply aren't there, and many of us (me included) conducted hour after hour of search in SOLO.

Argg THEY ARE THERE IN SOLO ITS A BUG WHY DOES NO ONE READ ANYTHING

*deep breaths*
Ok leaving this thread now

Apart from SOLO, I also never get the barnacle site to spawn in my own group (WOODHOUSE).

as soon as we had the coords, i ran right over to merope 5c in SOLO and found it.

Yes I'm glad I was in open, but something like this should have been checked multiple times. Yes name calling is wrong but that would be terrible if you know you were there 100% and there was no spawn

Some people know that Barnacles have seeds, whose people who got tired of the search and looked at game files like myself.

...Because that's just the same as finding them, sharing your discovery and getting the respect and plaudits of the rest of us right?

If you're really lucky you might get a surprise the next time you try to sign in.

It spawns in solo for me without issues. Used it to record the sound...

We have an Unknown Artifact at the Barnacle sight.

Nothing special seems to be happening. Typical glitter floats around the UA while it makes the typical sounds.

Need some idea. What tests can we try? It's been dropped directly on, and right next to the barnacle. That's it so far. It's been recaptured and stored for safety.
People write faster that i can read, i'm some pages back. Anyway i will like to know what happen if you get scanned by the UA (when you find the UA in space) having a metal-alloy with you in the cargo

Barnacle info tab added and related systems highlighted in orange.

OK so I did some alternative sciencing with the help of Ziggy I quantum leaped to check for spawn consistency here are the results.

(before I forget I apologize to all the people I was pulling a magic act on)

VVV Here is the format VVV

(Instance) - (Number of Players in group) - (Barnacle spawn while in SRV?) - (Barnacle spawn while in Ship?)

Open - All - Yes - Yes
Mobius - 17732 - Yes - Yes
Group 1 - 207 - No - No
Canonn - 144 - Yes - Yes
Group 2 - 7 - No - No
Solo - 1 - No - No

Should be some good numbers for FD to mull over.

Best moment in testing is in the Mobius group when the Barnacle complex appeared out of nowhere looked/sounded like a huge explosion (shards of spires everywhere) and it dropped in from the sky like a flash... also player ship skins populate just like they do in the preview at outfitting.

Fun stuff but honestly is this a permanent point of interest? if it is not sure the mechanic is working right it should definitely be there in Solo and it isn't.

Can confirm they spawn in solo. I just solo'd > personal private group > solo and it was there in every instance. (i7 2600k, gtx 770 ftw, 8gb ram if this means anything). I'm going to guess that it's due to the bug that has already been reported.

Can confmirm the Anaconda wreck, there are cases that say Caine Massey on them, can't read anything else on the textures, too low quality.

YES! Nice to finally see they are being found. Based on the symbol on the Barnacle, I'm heading out, like others, to Barnard's loop area and seeing if I can find one there. Wanted to take a trip out there anyways. Good Luck for all those joining on this next hunt. Congrats to the original finder of the Barnacle. And to the finding of the mysterious coordinates in the Galnet Post.
