Yeah, I'm suspecting some sort of CG or event related to the UA's because of that. I'm worried about my ship degrading, I'm worried about pirates chasing me like I'm on a mission because I'm carrying it, I'm worried about the fact that I don't actually have enough money for my Clipper's insurance... yeah I'm worried. That's why I wanna put it on another ship ASAP. I CAN do that right? Leave cargo on a stored ship? I've never actually tried it, even though I own three now.

Unfortunately, you can't leave cargo in parked ship.
If you need money, you can collect and sell UAs, or do a few highly paid missions in system Quince.

I still think we need to do something about this, and not just passively accept it. Applying pressure (via the BGS) to Azaleach Partnership to release the data we submitted seems like a good step one.
I think the data is with Karl Devene now. Look out for fed 'deep space convoys'.

They sound confident of the facts who admitted Halsey, but that could have been under false pretenses. I'd imagine it would take family to be involved in such a thing rather than friends.

If you were 135 light years away from something and you looked directly at it, you would see what it looked like 135 years ago. I believe the unknown artifacts spawn at the distance they do because they're trying to observe some past event or some past circumstances.
I believe this theory holds water right off the bat because the defeat of the Thargoids happened in 3151, which is right in the range of times the UAs would be seeing. If someone read this and has an extensive knowledge of the game's lore, please share any information on events occurring between 3150 and 3165. I strongly believe there may be a clue here that most people (including myself) would miss due to ignorance of the game's history.
There are other things the UAs could observe at this distance, including changes in the magnitude of Merope, the positioning of celestial bodies, and the expansion of the Pleiades itself, but I doubt this information would be as meaningful as lore events.

According to the semi-official timeline INRA defeated the Thargoids with the mycoid virus in 3193. Alliance/Thargoid peace was established in 3253.

That is the only official mention of the time of the event that I have ever found.
That's a good point. There's much confusion in my mind about what's canon and what isn't. For instance Allen Stroud has said that the FFE history should be taken with a grain of salt and points at the Elite: Dangerous wiki as 'more' canon (1) though not necessarily explicitly canon. Those two timelines disagree substantially, as far as which is the most accurate I haven't a clue. Both are inaccurate at some level. I'll go back to lurking and throwing the occasional grenade in the Rift thread.
1) He wasn't explicitly talking about the timeline in that context, just lore in general so that sentence should not be interpreted as me asserting that Allen stated that the wiki timeline was the more accurate. He's made no explicit comment regarding that particular page that I'm aware of.
