I am on my way to Merope 5C with a couple other CMDRs, we're going to honk again step by step near the planet, in high orbit, surface, barnacles, etc...

The problem is that I took the UP as close as possible to COL70 sector, so now I need to head back to civilization.

Mhyre, can you test the UP in Merope, Merope 5c and so on? Here it's becoming late, and I need to go to work tomorrow :D
I suspect I'll find dozens of page to read here on the thread tomorrow....
Go on! I'll leave all to you now CMDRs!

Go on!

Would you do another recording of this event? maybe with all other modules turned off to reduce background noise? Would really help with the image decoding <3

Took a a crack at it in sonic visualiser. This is the best I have.

So goto merope 5c at 0,0 and then head along a 135 degree pathway with the srv ( thats the seed pod as ill call it and the direction of that line).

At some point youll land at a crashed alien ship, first one to find it gets community glory forever.

That's pretty nice and clear - could you get a shot zoomed in on the drawing a bit more and not clipping any of it out?

Thats all I can give you with the provided audio file from the youtube clip :( Looks like part of it is missing due to audio compression from youtube and whatever Rizal used to record this masterpiece

Could someone link the sound file - I'm multi tasking at present but would love to have a closer look at this....

I'm interested in how the image was inserted into a sound file!

That diagonal line coming out of the centre of the 'sphere' doesn't bisect the bottom right quadrant exactly - looking at it clockwise from grom the right-hand horizontal, looks like about 46-47 degrees to me; or 136-137 degrees from 'up'. Which is odd

it's certainly *very* clever - but very simple: like someone made a drawing tool with time on x and frequency on y, and then started drawing on it.

Could the top left symbol be the system star, and the top left arc be an indication of the star shining on it?
The two "spikes" sticking out on the bottom left (SW) could be anything, but my initial thought was two disctinct landmarks, like high mountains.
This would lead to a time-specific event, ie. when the two landmarks point at 90deg to the star in the system, the UP should be doing its thing and "something" will be on the SE-line in the dark area of the planet.
I'm worried I just had a tinfoil moment...going to bed, checking in again tomorrow with a new roll of aluminumfoil at hand :)

My issue is that here at home I have an upload rate of 50K, sigh. So whatever I record will take ages to upload.
Usually I take all my videos at office, and then I upload them from there.
I was able to upload THAT video, cause I used my iPhone 4G/LTE connection, as an hotspot, instead of my home's.
So I hope Mhyre and his friends will be able to record better audio/video than mine. ;)

this do this!!

I did it already, nothing different: only the UP reacted as expected: the UA went on with its usual song.

I leave the keys to you CMDRs! Go on doing what you need to do!

In morse code as . _ . / . _ _ / _ . . / . . _ you get RWDU, if you do it as _ . _ / _ . . / . _ _ / _ _ . you get KDWG

The /'s just split up the chunks of three.

Nothing understandable from that as far as I can tell so it's definitely not morse.
