to be honest, I always thought an intelligent extraterrestrial life wanting to wipe us would never fight us, just give us bigger weapons and let us do the job.. seems plausible fictionalwise too

I've lurked my way through most of the 7 threads over the past few weeks and just last night discovered something that may be of interest.
I was attacked by the battle group accompanying the Federal capital ship over the barnacle site at Merope 2 A. This was my first encounter with a capital ship, so not sure how they should react, but everything was fine until I either got too close or they had a delayed reaction to my scanning. I was surprised because it is an anarchy system so I couldn't have broken any laws. Apparently they disagreed.
It may be the typical reaction of a capital ship to do this, but I get the definite feeling that the Federation does not want anyone observing their actions at Merope 2 A.
Footage of the encounter is below if you'd like to judge if their reactions are normal. I'm just a novice so would love some more experienced opinions. In any case, it seems they are getting pretty pushy if they are going to assume jurisdiction where they legally have none.

I don't believe this is AI related, the Rift points more to that as something that was taken and hidden which would indicate possible human origin. This... it's organic and alien - it's other life
People trying to attribute things to certain fictional in-game entities reminds me of the episode of Star Trek: TNG where Data loses his memory on a planet with Renaissance era technology. One character says that Data must be an "Ice Man" despite the fact that no one has ever actually seen an Ice Man before. Therefore every time we find something weird I will assume it is Space Bigfoot until given evidence otherwise. UAs? Space Bigfoot combs (they need to groom all that hair). UPs? Space Bigfoot eggs (Space Bigfoots are monotremes). Strange noises? Space Bigfoot mating calls (they're very horny this time of year). Strange lights? Space Bigfoots have glowing butts like fireflies (also for mating).
Please submit evidence to disprove Space Bigfoot at your convenience.

Well I just checked some of my own screenshots and unfortunately they're all a bit dark. But I'd not say it was yellow tbh. Mind you, I've been wrong before.
I have no idea how ED AI relates to the FFE androids. Not even sure they existed.

So i happen to have about 30 screenies + from april to late may and in almost all of them the planet was a yellower color... going to ask around in my discord to make sure it isnt my gfx settings but had 1 mate confirm it as yellow back in april so far. Is it possible the barnacles are terraforming the planet/ drawing heat from the core? Iv read alot of the speculations in here so throwing smore in cant hurt haha
Wasn't there something in the patchnotes (2.1?) that now the color of the star is used for lightning? maybe thats the reason..
