Newcomer / Intro Uh oh, I messed with..

something in my Cobra V. It's only allowing me like 5Ly jump range. I messed up the jump range somehow. I went and bought a bunch of upgrades. Is it too heavy now? What did I do?
Thank you.

The usual culprit there is fitting the wrong size FSD. Since you have a pre-built ship then I don't know what size / class it comes with.

Let me go take a look, I did buy powerplant and sensor upgraddes too. I already put the cannons, the shields, the extra cargo bins into storage. Oh and the refinery.

I'm pretty sure I put everything back to stock. Still will only allow 5LY jump range......?
In Outfitting, check Core Modules and the class of the FSD (frame shift drive). It should be a class 4, preferably A and not a lower letter. SCO FSD is also good.

OMG, edsy's gunna take me awhile to figure out... Maybe I can just go buy another Cobra V in the meantime and compare their loadouts. That's what I love about this game, it just draws you in deeper.

lol!!! The games all like..... Uh, no.... you'll be learning about ship classes and loadouts for awhile. go make some more coffee...:ROFLMAO:

I tried downgrading everything thing I did and made it worse?
Yes, "not enough power produced" by downgraded stuff. It has yellow/blue/red bar on outfit screen, if it is red - u're out of power when all modules ON. Some modules you don't need to have ON always, for example when you use weapons you don't need FSD. So you can allow some "red" and setup power groups on the right screen, that way when you open weapons, FSD gets powered off. But it is advanced piloting.

Just take a screenshot of the right hand panel, modules tab - Win+Shift+S will let you draw a screen area to grab onto the clipboard. You can then paste it into a post here.

Make sure the game is in borderless first.

Something else is wrong, I've downgranded and removed everything I can. Cargo bins, everything.... It's a shell of a ship. Still too heavy?

EDSY is better at some stuff but Coriolis is much easier to use.

Basics for the modules:
-the number means size, usually the bigger the better, but there are exceptions
-the letter means grade, there A is usually overall 'best' but not always, B is heavy & sturdy (otherwise pretty good), C is the medium (same mass as A but not as powerful), D is the lightweight one, E is to be avoided almost without exception

Something is in my cargo? It says available cargo capacity is 7/12. ????

It's all stripped down. 7/12 of what? Where?
