Ungulate Talk

Regarding the arid pack ungulates, I personally think the dama gazelle would have been elevated massively (from being perhaps the least useful and interesting species to being up near the top) if it had a more unique set of animations that did their behaviour justice.

Specifically, the dama gazelle is one of the very few antelopes that will feed by free-standing bipedally. Using the dama gazelle as a base for introducing this behaviour would really increase the ease with implementing a gerenuk into the game.

There is a photograph of a free-standing dama gazelle here:

The AZA's ungulate profile for the addra morph of the dama gazelle even give bipedal feeding as a major reason to exhibit the species:

I'm not sure how difficult the behaviour would be to implement post-release, but I think it would make the dama gazelle really stand out from being 'just another gazelle'.

I honestly have that feeling that the Dama Gazelle is not really super unpopular but was one of these species which were underwhelming at the beginning and got kind of a community popularity within the last few months. Or do I have a completely wrong feeling about this. At least within our Forum here.

We still definitely need some Asian caprids, they have an incredible variety and are relatively popular in zoos. At least a takin but another one like markhor, blue sheep or Himalayan thar would be nice, too.
More deer are also welcome. I agree that a small deer like muntjac or tufted deer would really add sth different and I personally would also love to have a more tropical deer species (Visayan spotted deer wouldn't be a bad choice as they are endangered and not rare in zoos).

Definetly still need the boar.
We got 4 tropical/arid species now, gotta have atleast one thats home to colder regions.
A domestic one would also be cool, but its not that important to me

Wild Boar is still essential for me. Especially as it is one major part of European Wildparks. Afterwards I think the Most important pig(-like) species are within the game.

I mean, if you want to be technical, we have the same number of suids as we did before - the peccaries are a completely different family of ungulates. In terms of actual pigs, I think the wild boar and the Visayan warty pig are my two biggest priorities, followed much further behind by the bearded pig, pygmy hog and a domestic pig breed.

The only pig I need is an updated version of this:

We received the Collared Peccary for our anniversary update!

Do you believe Suid representation is well done in-game or do you still need the Wild Boar to be satisfied?
At this point I am perfectly content with the suids we have. I don't really care about the Wild Boar, though it would be my top choice if we end up getting a fifth suid.
