Okey dokey. Got a new one, then (if I did my math right):

  • Ender you asked me this question:

    SMALLEST B-TYPE STAR - R CORONAE AUSTRINI A SOLAR RADIUS OF 0.0132
I strongly suspect there is an error in this record but I can't find any evidence that would support the record (actually, any post with the name of R CORONAE AUSTRINI in it). Rukmerot, would you, please, redirect me to it because if it's true I will add it to my ticket about errors in body properties (a star so small isn't a giant star).
Here it is:

2nlh276.jpg

It emits vast amounts of enrgy once in a while so I personally think it is in the midst of collapsing, It has a huge ssolar mass 2 (10. 6211) so i hope i can get a screenshot when it does this again.

SMALLEST A-TYPE STAR
COL 173 SECTOR RP-N D7-117 WITH A SOLAR RADIUS OF 1.1460 - FERRIS

P.S. Can you either put credits in the OP or provide names of the folks involved in managing this thread so I can provide some much deserved rep...
I was enjoying exploration before, but this thread makes it a bit more fun. Big thanks :)

Added.
Well, Patau82 started the Book (it was only a list at the beginning) and was later joined by rukmerot, so the rep should really go to these two. They did most of the hard work.
I'm not sure who / if anyone else helped with the categories etc. as I wasn't here from the beginning. I started as a normal explorer and joined the team some days ago.

Would somebody tell me, please, why "COLDEST HIGH METAL CONTENT PLANET - OSUNTES ABCD 1 WITH A SURFACE TEMPERATURE OF 20 K" that was my finding from here suddenly got attributed to Jack Luminous? (it was correctly recognized before).

Well, lashings of rep and thanks to you all... anyway that's enough ass-kissing back to the exploring.

COLDEST M-TYPE STAR
COL 173 SECTOR JU-C C14-19 B WITH A TEMPERATURE OF 2,002K - FERRIS
Beat the old record by a huge 3k

LARGEST GAS GIANT WITH WATER BASED LIFE
HR 3562 B 2 A WITH A RADIUS OF 77,773KM

Screenshot_0038.jpg

The T-Tauri star above is a second tier nesting so could fill that category for now as there is no record at the mo.
T-TAURI STAR WITH THE DEEPEST NESTING
HR 3562 B 2 IS A 2ND TIER

SYSTEM WITH THE MOST BINARY PLANETARY BODIES
HR 3562 WITH 6 BINARY PAIRS

Screenshot_0038A.jpgScreenshot_0039.jpg

Would the above system be classed as 8 binary pairs? I wasn't sure because 2 of the pairs are partnered with a t-tauri star, so i put 6 to be safe.. still a record either way. :)

I'm adding the new records now.

I've corrected it. I can only assume that the name field reverted back to an older state (Jack was the record holder before you) when the new terraformable HMC section was added.

I'm answering this because Rukmerot has some problems with his forum account. He will post a screenshot shortly. But I can already tell you, that the entry is valid (I've seen the screenshot). The star is on the verge of becoming a White Dwarf (it even says so in Wikipedia) and I assume that's why it has such a small radius.

That the whole point about it being a bug: if it's on the verge of becoming a white dwarf then its designation shouldn't be B5 III because it's for a giant of B-type.

Do you have access to Beta 1.1? Maybe they've already fixed it (I don't have access). If not, then you can ticket it as planned.
I'm really happy that they'll fix the Gas Giant Class 2 / 3 description. I just hope that they'll also fix the HMC / Metal Rich description.

Just to remind everyone: We are currently running a photo competition to improve the book even more and we would love more entries :)

AFAIK Beta 1.1 isn't yet released and yes, I will have access to it. As to report the issue I need a picture - do you have it?

Added. I have the screenshot on my computer at work. I'll post it if Rukmerots problems haven't been sorted out by tomorrow.
