Unlocking Hero Ferrari

ive completed almost 20 low risk ground combat zone battles but still haven’t unlocked Hero Ferrari, any Ideas please?

Try hitting 20; I think there's a bug that causes your codex to show double what you've actually done? For me I felt like I did way more then 10 plus some mediums and maybe a high and then I got like 4 invitations, and keep getting them randomly since then. So I think something is definitely wrong with the unlock.

I have now completed 20 low intensity ground combat zone battles (Codex says 40?) logged out and back in again and still no unlock for Hero Ferrari, any ideas as to what I’m doing wrong please?

Do you have a screen shot of that part of the codex? If the unlock has not worked, then submitting a ticket might be the way to go, apart from continuing with the CZs.

if only just completed it may take a while for the servers to cotton on to the fact if I rem rightly I did about 30 b4 it registered
rinse and repeat with loggin for all eng I have found...…………
try booting hor too then switch back b4 u take the ticket route imo
jus keep grinding them and loggin is key to them all whatever the engineer

I have finally got the unlock after 23 low intensity ground combat battles in two systems. So it seems the 10 needed as quoted by the engineer is fiction, you just need to keep completing them until the unlock.

Just to put my 2 pennies worth in I have done a total of 32 on-foot CZ missions; 4 high, 6 medium and 22 low. I did some research and read so many different and conflicting suggestions. Some people said they did them all in the same CZ, others say they all had to be in different locations, even if in the same system. Most people said that they had to be all low rated while a few said otherwise. A few people said that he didn't unlock until jumping to a different system and one person said that bugged CZ's (where NPC's don't respawn) don't count towards your total, although they are logged.

I tried all these 'solutions' and had only one bugged CZ but Hero still remains unlocked for me. The only things left to try are 10 each of medium and high CZ's or 10 different systems, or both! I think what Meadows65 says may be right, it could be totally random.

I may submit a ticket and see what FDev say about it.

It seems that the counter is still bugged and I did this in July 2022. Twenty surface conflict zones mostly in open mode. One high and all the rest low in 5 different locations and finally got the invite to Hero Farrari. Note that I didn't turn in many of the combat bonds and never at Frontier Soultions until after the invite so I assume that they don't matter for the invite. It appears different for each player.

Quick update, I submitted a ticket with my most recent journal asking them to let me know what, if anything, I needed to do to unlock Hero or if they could unlock for me. It took four days to get a response but it was a positive outcome. This was their reply:

Hello CMDR,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We're aware of some issues with the unlock for this engineer- it's being looked into but we're sorry this has happened. I've unlocked Hero Ferrari for you, so you should be good to go.

So if anyone stumbles upon this post with the same problem and you're confident you've met the unlock requirements then reach out to FDev support.

I suffered the same fate as many here, and what worked for me may, or may not, work for others.
  • I completed all my LOW combats directly with Frontline.
  • All combats were completed with one location/site taking the shuttle there, logging out at the CZ after the battle and logging back in to arrive automatically at the station.
  • Cash in the bond.
  • Repeat.
  • The final count was over 20, and still no unlock.
  • I then took one further combat mission, doing the same again at a completely different location.
  • The engineer then immediately unlocked.

This is still bugged, which is kind of unbelievable.

I've completed 11 low intensity surface conflict zones, across three different systems, all in different settlements (just in case) and she's not unlocking.

I've opened a ticket.

Same issue here. Still no u lock after 28 “reported” misssions. Really done 14. Combat wins are counted twice in the Codex. Also. Jude Navarro seems to be locked as well after completing 26 real re-activation missions. I suspect the re-activation missions done in post- thargoid systems (new from 14.02 update) do not count towards this unlock .

So, complete the combat zones while standing on one foot after sacrificing a live chicken, putting down a 3 legged rain turtle, throwing salt over your left shoulder, chewing on a salad made of 4 leaf clovers and singing "Baby, you're the Tops".

That should do it.

YMMV, but in my case, I submitted a ticket, and while waiting for it, I did one more CZ and she unlocked, as luck would have it.

As far as restore missions, I don't know about post thargoid systems, I did them in regular states systems and exactly 10 gave me an unlock without issues.
