Unpopular Animal You Really Want

I agree with luise, give her a snack from me as a treat for having good opinions
Why I didn't answered this? My brain is like swiss cheese!

I gave her a snack, of course. They love oat flakes.
Wow. Guinea pigs are so adorable. Did you know there's a hairless variety? (I'm sure you do). It's ugly-cute
Yes I knew that. A friend had a skinny pig to foster. His name was Hermann and I loved him, if I hadn't already had a male I would have adopted him. Unfortunately, he recently passed away suddenly in his new home. But he is in my heart. Skinny pigs look like baby hippos.

I would really like to have the wild version of the pet guinea pig. Some German zoos even have them.
They differ significantly from the domesticated variety. They are slimmer, have longer legs, have more pointed heads and erect ears.
And above all they only have this one color variant (black cream agouti)

The domesticated variety already has so many breeds (not to mention colors) that it's becoming impossible to "create" it all

I want all sorts of small mammals.

Skunks, porcupines, ferrets, weasels, civets, genets, ringtails, coatis, slow lorises, cacomistles, cloud rats, chinchillas, tanuki, bush dogs, etc.

Not that any of these are explicitly unpopular. But most just aren't on the tips of people's tongues. Really, I just want to be able to build more realistic small mammal and/or nocturnal houses with a broader variety of animals, haha.

I would love a third penguin species. A little blue would definitely be my first choice as they're relatively unique looking, very common in Oceanian zoos, and just a personal favorite in general. I wouldn't pass up another sub-Antarctic species to mix with the in-game king penguins though, probably a gentoo or rockhopper.

Although it admittedly wouldn't be the best choice if we're nearing the end of the game's lifespan, I wouldn't mind another flamingo species either. I have a soft spot for the Andean but the American or Chilean are understandably more realistic choices. I'd be down for any. :>

Probably not as unpopular to be honest, but some kind of Indian antelope like a blackbuck or nilgai to mix with the rhinos and water buffalo would be pretty neat.

African leopard. You'd think it would be in high demand, but it seems more of the fandom wants the Amur subspecies instead. I get that the Amur is more endangered, but c'mon, the African leopard is one of the iconic Big Five and is the top predator of the African rainforests. Ideally, they would add both subspecies since they already have two tiger subspecies (Bengal and Siberian).

I would not call it unpopular as it alone has 58 votes. If it would be a stand-alone animal in the wishlist it would be place 42 together with the great White Pelican. I think there are some reasons which speak for the Amur Leopard. It would be a colder area Leopard which makes it distinct to the similar looking Jaguar and of course its conservation Status. Personally I have voted for the Amur Leopard but I am fine with any subspecies of Leopards. I also would be okay with two Leopard subspecies in the game but this seems unrealistic to me as there are also some other cats (Caracal, Ocelot and Serval) which would enrich the game in my opinion.

Imagine in the future there would be something like a "Close Relatives" Dlc with some of these similar animals. We got quite a few killer animals on our hands like a hypothetical 2. Leopard, the black Rhino, Brazillian Tapir, Any monkey (Dill, Rhesus/Barbary Macaque, more Capuchins, more Lemures like the black or the crowned), the european Bison, Masai Giraffe, Humbold Penguin and maybe a flamingo or hypothetical second pelican for an 8. Slot instead of an exhibit animal?
I think pretty much everybody would like that.
But at the same time the new rig people would riot, so its here

I really would like to have something like a clone pack and. In my opinion this pack should have more than 8 animals because the effort is surely lower than with regular packs. And it could somehow be a good pack at the end of the game for us hardcore fans as a Low effort "present" (Present not in the meaning that we should get this for free). And I like your ideas and I would include especially the American Black Bear. Whereas I see the integration of the spectacled bear and the sloth bear could be realistic I somehow doubt we will get three further bears (Personally I suspect 7 further packs).

A bird with zero meta-wishlist votes (though I'll vote for it if I get an open slot after the next DLC) that is very common in captivity (not just zoos, but private waterfowl stock in parks) in both Europe and especially North America--the Egyptian Goose. I think it would be a great addition if there were ever a "ponds and gardens" pack or something along those lines.

Emperor Tamarin, I like this one much more than the popular Golden lion tamarin
I imagine a lot of people feel the same, it's just a lot of people view the golden lion tamarin as more 'essential'.

The meta-wishlist isn't necessarily about animals we want in our hearts, but more about animals we think the game needs to really feel complete. Conceptually I like the emperor tamarin, or the cotton-top tamarin, more than the golden lion, but I throw my vote behind the golden lion tamarin anyway because I know that over-all it's the most likely to arrive.

For me the Ranking of the three tamarin contenders would be:
Emperor
Cotton-Top
Lion

But objectivly the lion has something important, which isnt cuteness (i think they look quite ugly lol, emperor way cuter) or how essential they are (cottontop is the most common monkey in zoos) but color.
Think about it, what do most monkeys have in common?
Gorilla, Chimp, Bonobo, Siamamg, Capuchin, ring tailed and black and white ruffed lemure, Sulawesi Crested Macaque, Mantled guereza, squirrel monkeys, sir francois langur, grey hulman and many more primates are primary black, grey and white in color.

The golden lion tamarin is a rare splash of color between the primates, which makes it and the also quite colorful lar gibbons much more desireable compared to other black, grey and white monkeys.
Atleast thats how i see it
