Unprovoked Hyperdiction

Systems: PLEIADES SECTOR QO-Q B5-2 --> HIP 17125

Ship: Viper

i was hyperdicted by a team of 2 thargoids one did the hyperdiction and shutdown pulse and jumped away, the other flew in to the side of me and watched like it was waiting for an offering. when my ship rebooted i go to scan the thargoid wake and realize the other was there.I go to boop it (it didn't like that and it started attacking) i jump away unimpeded by a mass lock factor

still sad i wasn't recording

Thargoids hunters in packs is strange but then again this is ed where anything can and will happen

Interesting, same thing to me, same region (3 thargoids). The shutdown thing when coming towards I though was a bit like a net bieng fired at you. Didn't occur to me they may have wanted an offering. Had some occupied and damaged escape pods with me at the time so if it happens again may jettison one to see what reaction I get.

Nearly 20 minute video of my first hyperdiction, although the last 15 minutes are of the recently discovered wrecked transport ship.
Two Thargoids, one left the other one was what I've seen referred to as a mimic. That one just seemed to copy my movements until I boosted away.

I started recording about 10 seconds after the hyperdiction started. Before the update I had spent about 6 hours flying around the area trying to be hyperdicted with no luck, this time it happened on my first jump of the play session.

Exactly the same thing happened to me, I did however not provoke the remaining Thargoid but stayed with him.
He followed my every move staying withing a distance of around 450 meters.
I could just jump out at any time I wanted.
This guy was friendly or curious or as mentioned before waiting for something.

Well I have proof the double hyperdictors dont want an "offering" After I highwake from the non human signal I drop a thargoid probe and hit it with the discovery scanner. Nothing. I also dropped an escape pod. Nothing.

Have you tried Meta Alloys? Ive yet to be hyperdicted, but the ones in USSs do something different (ie call in a mate) if you offer it a few (5-10 Meta Alloys).

I actually did do that. But with 34 meta alloys.

Edit: I didnt give 34 meta alloys to the hyperdictors. They were in a uss. Unfortunately I had none at the time of hyperdiction. Proves one thing though. That theu can count as he scanned me i dropped 30 then he picked one or two and sounded his angry horn dropperd thargons and went red so i dropped the last 4. No scamming this dude.
