Unusual nature (for me at least) stellar desert?

I have heard of T Tauri deserts and seen small patches where they as stars they can be can be an issue, but i found something new to me today, a region roughly 500ly spherical and of very low stellar population, where nearly every star in map search is either a white dwarf or a neutron star.

I didn't check out many of the roughly 40+ locations that i could find in that region for fear of becoming stranded too many jumps from the very few fuel stars nearby, didn't want to have to call in the Fuel Rats, Packed full of data, all on my lonesome in a DBX.

Easiest way i can say to see them is all these bookmarks, and i am not sure if that is all of them in the region, definitely an odd spot to visit if you fancy trekking 18k ly in some random direction.....

Also the carriers in and around NGC 3199 nebula thanks for the repairs

Nice find!

I found something similar long time ago. A sparse area of white dwarfs and nothing else. It was fun at first but then, after three or four jumps across, I realized I had fuel for just two more jumps and there was no scoopables within that range. For the first (and most likely last) time I used jumponium to save fuel and make it to the nearest scoopable star.

one of those?

That kind of thing yes, though very poor if your want to get to Sag A*, would pretty much double your journey time.

Its possible that the lower reaches of the region could lead to some otherwise hard to reach off galactic plain regions, or perhaps heading out further into the galactic south east, but for this journey i am not that pilot to go find them if they exist. Not solo at least.
