Happy Friday coaster friends!

Along with our awesome announcement regarding brand new additional paid content, featuring Planet Coaster Construction Kits for Back To The Future™, Knight Rider™, and The Munsters®, comes Update 1.3.3!

There are multiple fixes for ride, scenery, and UI bugs that you have reported (thank you!), as well as a new ride and a new coaster for everyone to enjoy!

The Coriolis is an exciting ride with its classic styling and painted panels, it truly combines action with aesthetics. Four-seat cars are connected to a central hub and move independently while the entire ride spins and tilts for extra thrills.

The Manic Mouse coaster offers tight, unbanked bends that generate high lateral g-forces. Cars have a free spin feature which allows cars to twirl as they travel; use bunny hops for short bursts of airtime.

Have a look at the complete list of tweaks below:

New Rides
  • Coriolis - This exciting ride, usually found in travelling fairs, can be enjoyed by children, adults and teens. Boasting classic styling and elegantly painted panels, the Coriolis combines exhilarating action with beautiful aesthetics. The ride consists of several four-seat cars, connected by arms to a central hub, each of which can move independently. While the arms spin, the entire ride can tilt for extra thrills.

New Coasters
  • Manic Mouse - Coasters don't have to take up a lot of space to offer thrills. ‘Wild Mouse’ coasters delight passengers with tight, unbanked bends that, when taken at moderate speed, generate high lateral g-forces. Cars also have a 'free spin' feature, locked and unlocked at various points along the track, that allows cars to twirl as they travel. The coaster also features bunny hops for short bursts of airtime.

New Content
  • Added support for DLC scenery and rides
  • "Back to the Future™ Time Machine Construction Kit" now available
  • "Knight Rider™ KITT Construction Kit" now available

  • 'Woodfalls' - Gnarler coaster blueprint

  • Added snap points to 'Ice Cream Cone', 'Ice Cream Scoop' and 'Ice Cream Sauce' scenery items

UI

Ride/Coaster Bug Fixes
  • Stopped the Mechanic sliding about when inspecting a ride

Scenery Bug Fixes
  • Updated the Dragon Lamp thumbnail to better represent the scenery item
  • Custom biomes are no longer completely black on lower graphics settings
  • Fixed the terrain displaying as black when using Custom Biomes with low quality graphics presets

Nice! unexpected update, lovely to see you guys are still fanatic. Just passed 500 hours on PC. :D With this DLC package we can go even more crazy! Love it, keep up the good work :]:]

As a day one player i really hope they stick with releasing those construction kits as it is now and won't sell individual rides and coasters for a 2-3 euro price tag.

It was mentioned only cosmetical features would be available as paid DLC's so we should stick them to these words.

Of course, any major upgrade in the future in the form of a massive DLC (like in the old days) could be sold for a price. But I am with you on the micro-payments, these small packages should not contain rides and coasters.

The ride and coaster are part of Update 1.3.3, you do not need to buy the construction kits in order to play with them :) they're part of the base game!

Boy, are you lucky you don't work for me!!!

Thank you Frontier for the new ride and especially the Wild Mouse!

Next time around, I would love to see some old time rides, such as the Whip, the Turtle, a Waltzer, and especially a Grand Carousel!

I believe they were speaking about this part

"New Content

  • Added support for DLC scenery and rides"

and not the two rides included with this update. I think many people are worried that the way things are worded at the moment means that you all will be selling ride/scenery as separate pieces. This makes everything uneasy because selling them all separately will mess up the sharing aspect this game thrives on right now. The majority of people are hoping for packaged DLC's, and not microtransactions. Obviously, we don't know the full details yet, but the wording so far seems to lead peoples minds to microtransactions which would screw up the power of the workshop.

Taken from the other thread:

How will it work?
If you do not want to purchase any additional content, that’s fine! You’ll be able to toggle them on or off by using the ‘lock button’ right next to the in-game search bar.

Any items on the Steam Workshop that feature paid content items will be marked with a special tag; if you own the same content items as the Workshop item, you’ll be able to place and interact with that blueprint as you would normally. If you do not own the same content items, you can still subscribe to that blueprint, but you will not be able to place it in your park – it will give an ‘obstructed’ notification as well as a warning that the item you’ve selected included DLC content.

The same happens with entire parks that contain additional content; upon opening the park, you will get an in-game notification that tells you this park contains DLC items. You can ignore the notification and fly through the park as you normally would, but any paid content will be locked for you and it won’t function within the park unless you have the correct kit purchased.

So nothing to worry about.

Another lovely surprise. Thanks. I keep banging on about the hard work and dedication being put in by Team Frontier, but you all always blow me away. <3

Agree on this. Once they release too many, it will shatter workshop community... It always happens. Not sure how to handle this. Maybe slightly bigger DLCs instead, but less of them? Still cosmetic, including only scenery and stuff. For instance Aztec theme, more complex package for 5-8 EUR ? Just an example. Definitely no rides, these should be free or part of big paid expansions.
