IMPORTANT: Update 1.3.3

How does that new flat ride go in a space or fairy tale area? It is only good for western areas. Please have more generic flat rides. It is getting silly now.

So nothing to worry about.

Until people start to use these items like they do with all other items in the game and you are getting locked out of more and more Blueprints..:X

Whoah!!

The flatride had me confused a little :D I don't know the real life thing so it looked like a high speed ride but it's a gentle ride :D It looks really awesome!
(edit : Or isn't it ... im not sure anymore :D )

And the mouse coaster is amazing :D I love it!!!
Thanks a million Frontier for this super unexpected update!

Taken from the other thread:

So nothing to worry about.

Well.... if it wasn't for the fact that most designs in the workshop have hundreds, if not thousands, of individual pieces in them.... which even if one of those items was a microtransaction item, the blueprint is now locked until i buy that item. The thought that scares me is that unlike previous games in this genre, this game mixes and matches everything. A blueprint won't usually JUST be fairytale items, it will include objects from everything because that one corner in the garden may need this pirate stone to make it look good. From the game designers standpoint this is genious because it will make everyone buy every single DLC to make most workshop items work. People like silvarett will add items that include a whole bunch of DLC peices. But as a person who doesn't want to buy 20 $3 items to make a blueprint work... this scares me.

I was hoping the DLC items would all be things that the base game would have alternatives for so that when you download a blueprint and don't own the DLC content, it would revert to something else. Such as coaster train car themes, so if they have a space car theme for the boomerang coaster and you don't have the DLC content, the game would automatically revert to the vanilla car. Same with paths and walls/roofs so on.... haveing a vanilla backup for people who still like the blueprint design. The way it looks right now seems to be that most of the content post-DLC release will not work unless I have the DLC's as well... and if we are going that route I'd just like a nice decently priced expantion pack DLC with all the items (not micro-dlc's). We all know the individually priced content will add up to way more than what an expansion pack would cost... and make a spiderweb of content people don't have and thus causing them to not be able to use other peoples parks or blueprints.

That's why they got something called filters.

And parks are still accessible but you can not copy the scenery items because they are locked.

I think there is no need of making to much of a fuzz about it. And I barely use the workshop so I am not worried.
Don't pretend the game becomes unplayable.

Great Scott! Cant wait to use the wild mouse.

Question about the DLC, are the cart vehicles selected by a drop-down in the ride info window? or are the another item in the list of rides?

Parks are accessible but blueprints are not which is his issue.

*Note: I dont share the same concern, just stating the concern of everyone else

I never said the game becomes unplayable, I said the workshop becomes a mess and many items will become obsolete to many. And while there are filters, the steam workshop is set up in a way that unless frontier wants to add a filter for every single DLC item, it will likely just be a filter of items with DLC all off, or all on.

I'm only making ~a fuss~ because it hasn't officially been released yet and i'm hoping to sway them into making it an expansion pack model, not this micro-DLC type model their other games have… which does scatter the community aspect of this game. Just because you yourself don't use certain features, don't mean others don't as well. The workshop is very popular, especially with people who aren't great at building scenery.
