As Aldaris said, they still work in most locations and we don't know the final state of how things will change. So, what is the point of Guardian weapons? I got them to fight Thargoids...but if I can't use them for that purpose, why have them?

Non-Human Signal Sources do appear rarely in the infested systems. It seems combat aftermath, AX weapons fire and distress calls are now more common. My Challenger Hull Tank managed to get to the pulse, be spit out and survive. Even tanked a couple of mines. My Ice Cold Dolphin died, though.
Strangely enough, planet in Thargoid areas do not have signal sources.
On planet surfaces?Non-Human Signal Sources do appear rarely in the infested systems. It seems combat aftermath, AX weapons fire and distress calls are now more common.
The one in yet to check out is "AX Ship Signatures "....Non-Human Signal Sources do appear rarely in the infested systems. It seems combat aftermath, AX weapons fire and distress calls are now more common.
Do the Guardian Hull reinforcement degrade?I'm sure someone asked about flying a racing ship build into the Maelstrom, well this is a Cold shieldless courier build @ 738m/s with a fair bit of casutic resistnance that gets to about 50KM before kick out and survives about 1 and a half pulses...

It felt like I reached a point where I could not get any closer...

Also, tried a 2nd run with a shield and there was little difference except the damage from the pulse was lower, still didn't survive the 2nd though.
What about trying a run with all systems off once you get to speed?I'm sure someone asked about flying a racing ship build into the Maelstrom, well this is a Cold shieldless courier build @ 738m/s with a fair bit of casutic resistnance that gets to about 50KM before kick out and survives about 1 and a half pulses...

No. Was showing this right up to exploding...Do the Guardian Hull reinforcement degrade?
They all seem to be pretty much the same. Some have mats, cargo and/or sensors to collect like NHSS used to, all seem to spawn interceptors and scouts if you wait long enough. The one in yet to check out is "AX Ship Signatures "....
On top of that, being chain-interdiction nuisanced several times en-route to the rescue ship, seriously made me consider giving up years of pacifism, and make a mission out of feeding all and any who would attack an "ambulance" to the Thargoids... If they then turn out to be sent back at us as "green walkers", one might get the pleasure of murdering them a second time...Ok, the loop to rescue pods is kind of annoying. Lots of clicks, making it slow… which kind of kills the vibe of “you need to hurry and gtfo of here”
1) not just youHaving a lot of fun in Taranis destination system. The Maelstrom is interesting, pretty, ominous, and fun. A couple of things have made me curious...
1) Is it me, or are interdictions by Thargoids much harder to evade? Seems like my ship isn't controllable as I expect during an interdiction.
2) When I FSS the system, there are numerous named rogue signal sources but I can't see them otherwise (Nav panel, etc.). How can I go to these signal sources? (Can I?)
3) When racing towards the 'center' of the maelstrom (in normal flight, of course), are you able to turn around and get out of mass lock in order to wake?Yes. I could
4) What's with the 'jumping away from a nearby system only to end your jump there again?'
Yes, the chain interdictions are very grating. On top of that, being chain-interdiction nuisanced several times en-route to the rescue ship, seriously made me consider giving up years of pacifism, and make a mission out of feeding all and any who would attack an "ambulance" to the Thargoids... Well, I'm definitely not going to either of those systems. I only have one ship built to fight Thargoids, and I don't plan to change the core weaponry when it's the only build that seems to work for me. With my luck, the means to build something to protect Guardian components will require materials from there...Guardian guass cannons are the ax build go to for interceptors. In HIP 22460 and the maelstrom system(s) all guardian modules and weapons melt. Out side of those areas they still work fine. Hopefully we get new weapons and defenses soon
You might not have noticed, but on most occasions when you submit or fail to evade (and yes, it's much harder... i argue impossibly so... read on) you'll receive something n like "Thargoid interdiction telemetry" engineering data, which is described as telemetry about your failed attempt to evade interdiction. I suspect we'll be seeing more tech broker stuff to stabilise your ability to avoid interdictions.1) Is it me, or are interdictions by Thargoids much harder to evade? Yes, I have noticed the telemetry data. I had a lot of fun today with this even though I'm not equipped for AX. I still collected lots of telemetry (yes, so far the very frequent interdictions by Thargoids have been impossible to evade) and I collected caustic shards and other Mats in the Maelstrom. You might not have noticed, but on most occasions when you submit or fail to evade (and yes, it's much harder... i argue impossibly so... read on) you'll receive something n like "Thargoid interdiction telemetry" engineering data, which is described as telemetry about your failed attempt to evade interdiction. This is in the same vein as getting "massive electromagnetic discharge" data or somesuch when you get flung by the maelstrom shockwave.
