Update 15, the Upcoming Feature Rework and More

Interesting, but lore wise that doesn’t really make sense because the permit locks are put on the FSD drives by the pilot’s federation. It’s completely artificial and not dependant on any alien puzzles or secrets.

If a system has a permit lock, lore wise that means humans are the ones that locked it and and some humans somewhere already know what’s there. That Thargoids or ancient guardian puzzles can’t keep you out of a system, it’s the pilot’s federation that’s keeping you out of the system.

Edit: What’s your guys’ discord?

Im going to be polite and say im really sceptical here.

Is this the same group that were criticising Cannon research for not sharing information? Yet they seem to be doing the same thing.
We have an open thread on these forums discussing Guardians, Raxxla and a host of other topics.
It seems to me they are no further down the line than some of the extremely intelligent folks that have been at this for years (without actually finding Raxxla).
Ive spent years studying Astro Physics and quantum mechanics, more than happy to look at anything they have come up with but i seriously doubt Fdev have gone to that extreme with game tech.
We are all speculating, we all have our hypothesis, there are many theory's and with due respect ive lost count (even in my short two years here) of folks who have come along and said "your all doing this wrong, we are going to solve this in a week", only to fade into obscurity when they realise its not that easy.

I was very interested in your hypothesis of ruins lining up with other systems, this was something looked at by many others (including myself) and never managed to crack it.
Logic dictates in reality that this could not happen someone even worked out connections based on Friedmann modules, a bit extreme for a computer game but you have to admire their thinking!

Basically unless they can come up with this dodgy email and some hard evidence they are no further down the road discovering anything than the rest of us are.

I agree with YOU but I have concerns. Due to recent circumstances, I am now mostly a solo player.
I remember well when the missions from Rama Tah first came out, they could not be completed solo (take 101 data scans) out of a bug and it took a long time to fix. Eventually I spit on it and turned in the ones I turned in not whole.

So here are my concerns, we have an online game in real time, how could there not be a condition to simultaneously activate several (guardians) beacons with bases ? Is it possible to solve these puzzles (if any) in single player mode ?
I believe so. At least some of them.
But there are certain things that I don’t believe are a part of the puzzle because they’re not really doable in game. I don’t think you have to activate multiple beacons, but I could be wrong about that. But this task by itself would be monumental in it’s undertaking. Especially if you wanted to include the structures, they are attached to. But I would honestly be willing to give it a shot if I could get enough people together.
The beacon attached to the trapezium structure is still missing. BTW.
Also, important to remember, that the orbital mechanics that we are observing MUST BE DESCRIBING A SINGULAR SYSTEM.
Unlike real outer space, I finally came to the conclusion that the map does not move. So to track movement in this game and solve a large simulation. Like this, you are not looking at these mechanics on a regional or galactic scale at all. So these are system mechanics and the rest of the information, must allude to the location and process necessary for activating the net work.
Just because by process of elimination, certain things are not doable in this game, and therefore must not be a part of the puzzle mechanics.
Also
There is some kind of process that has been missed, and we believe it largely has to do with the relic towers. Between the relic towers and the obelisk these are the only things that are common in both types of sight. Structure and ruin.
But they seem to have three different purposes, and we’re trying to narrow them down. They seem to be placed specifically in the complexes orbital mechanics diagrams, their shadows at certain locations seem to point at certain places on dials nearby hinting at some kind of timing process, then, at certain locations, they seem to be lined up specifically to get you to pay attention to certain objects. Sometimes part of a structure, and sometimes a certain pylon.
There also seems to be one at a few of the locations that acts as a master switch of some kind. At some of the structures, one of the relic towers will activate immediately when you login, even though you are too far away for it to register your presence. Which is about at 50 m.
We believe the structures transform, and we believe the beacons move.

I thought you've had one.

But I was wrong :ROFLMAO:
There you go. I just wrote enough crap to keep you busy for at least a day.😂
It’s really weird though. I come on here looking for actual information but all I usually find is a bunch of people arguing. Do you guys just come on here to debate stuff or do you come on here actually looking for anything?
Reddit was even worse

Or maybe your Xbox is clogged with cat hair and needs a good cleanup.
Leave my cat out of this😂😈
And I was one of the lucky few who managed to get both of the new consoles.
The series S is upstairs where all the cats are. It works fine and never shuts down. The series X is in the basement and none of the animals are allowed downstairs. I have a game set up down there and I keep it clean.
Could be dust in there, but for the first year, this thing was only shutting down when I played elite. All the other games worked fine, and it hasn’t shut down on any games using a disc yet. But every time I played elite this series X would overheat within about 30 to 40 minutes depending on what I was doing. so I feel like the last couple of updates pretty much pushed the limits of what Xbox was capable of. Considering there’s a lot of talk that they are going to out mode the consul altogether, I just figured it was par for the course.

what actual information are you looking for?

answering questions is quick and takes only a few posts and generally the topics to ask are limited and so have probably been done at least once already.

the topics to argue about are infinite and require many posts. also they are accessible to all where as answering questions requires knowing the answer.

so given the time the game has been out, the discourse will obviously become mostly arguing. especially when there is a lot to argue about and new stuff to be disagreed with added periodically.

or it might just be that Legacy runs like crap on that console generation because it is not made for them - I wouldn't know, I never owned a console. But if it kept habitually overheating the predecessor generation "because of too much data", there would have been much, much more revolting and gnashing of teeth.

It's still a game, not a cryptographic blob waiting to be decyphered.

All information specifically regarding the guardian puzzle, civilization, and or possible clues that have been missed.
I also listen very carefully for peoples reactions when it comes to their mentioning of the developers. I am getting a lot of chatter from Canonn leader ship that the developers have routinely lied to the community. Or claimed there were things in the game that did not exist. So I keep my ear to the ground during the reactions to my posts Because Canonn has failed to show me any real evidence in this regard. But these are experienced players that have been working at this much longer than I have so I doubt they would just throw that around loosely.
I also get little tidbits about how the game is structured through the forums because I am new to PC and still having a little trouble acclimating. I’m already noticing certain things at the sites that are different from the Xbox version. So there’s that.

Yeah, that’s a possibility. The Xbox one still works and it still works playing elite. I really just assumed it was overheating because the first three times it shut down. I went online and they were selling some new cooling unit for that console.
This suggested to me that I wasn’t the first person to and that possibly it does this with other games. No problems on PC so far. Besides my bindings being ed up.

XBox, I remember those times well. From the fact that XBox was very weak and the planet with ruins of guards took a little longer to load. It allowed us to find new guardian ruins faster.
But I don't think that's really fair.
I know one way that might help in solving the guardian ruins, but I don't think it's really fair, so I'm not considering it.

I have noticed subtle differences. The most obvious one is the sentinels.
On Xbox, they have panels that flash at regular intervals. The pattern of flashing lights alternates highlighting five separate types of diagrams in sequence. I am on PC now at a guardian structure and I am not seeing the same glow on the sentinels body. Either that was removed during an update, or it never existed on PC, I’m not sure which.
But I had assumed before this was some kind of combination of different ruined sites or course corrections that had to be followed in sequence. Because the sentinel’s body is covered with navigational info.
Including a couple of photos.

This should probably tell you all you need to know.
How exactly? The puzzle was six years old before the switch was made. The only thing I know for sure now is that I’m not going to receive future updates on the Xbox. But I’m on PC now.
I think the original mystery still needs to be solved, I’m not sure if anything new was added, but I do know a couple of things changed. Not having been on PC before I don’t have context for what specifically is different now. For all I know it’s always been that way.

That is the common misconception. But this is not a game.
It's definitely a game.
I have played every space game I could get my hands on. And this I would not define as a game. It’s more like an astrophysics simulation and a piloting simulation combined.
Have you played Elite 84, Frontier, First Encounters?
The guardian ruins that we have been studying, have information about a location, course corrections, what looks to be a map of a certain system, and all of it is laid out in a navigational puzzle that includes orbital mechanics. And if you compare these figures to real textbooks you will be surprised.
You infer there is information about a location, course corrections, what looks to be a map of a certain system, but you don't know where it is, and you yourself suggest this puzzle is SO complicated many have failed to get anywhere with it.

Why would fdev do that?
