Good grief! You guys have been busy. Well, this commander thanks you very much for your support. I got some extra credits too. Not sure why, but there they were. I just assumed it was because I am one of the best commanders in the galaxy.:cool::cool:

This should have been changed with the patch, I noticed last night it was working much better. I was getting 40 - 80 mins each time.
No, still there - just had a 'Complete mission in no time at all' instruction for a bonus.

Didn't get it.

Edit: Shortly followed by one giving me 1 minute to complete. Got that one, but the bonus had to pay for all the dents in ship and station.

I also have problem with it, though I have not crashed (yet?) because of it, but it could not land on the landing pad. It always tries to land slightly to the right. The afterburner does not seem to work anymore. At least on my ship. It always says no energy, even when the bar is full. DC does not use it neither.

I saw this "Added Saitek x56 control preset," so does that mean that we can use a Saitek X 56 on the Xbox One? Can someone explain a bit more please, thanks.

Docking computer, NPC dockng and 'complete mission in no time' are still/newly listed as a bug. So they are still working on a solution.

For me there are no chain interdictions anymore (so far) and the AI fits better to my (in)abilities. Now it is playable for me again, but with all the chain interdictions before and the way overpowerd NPC it is hard to tell if the AI was balanced or not. Lets FD sort out the bugs and if everything works fine as intented, then it makes sense to take a look at the AI and if it needs to be changed.

Please keep in mind that some don't care about combat and others want the 'completely impossible to win against' opponents. It is two complete opposite camps and everyone wants only fun in this game. If you are not happy make suggestions and try to provide a solution for the ones who might not be able to handle to strong AI, too. Or the other way around, how to statisfy the die hard fans.

Just my two cents

So a middle-ground where opposites have to respect that other players may have an alternative and relevant viewpoint? Dammit, Jim, it might just work.

It's where I sit. I think the AI improvements give more challenge, but I do think that challenge needs to be balanced with player time/skill/investment. Being wary of that balance in interdictions seem sensible. Anything else I think should be challenging. It's good to see FD trying to locate that balance, and I imagine that's a near impossible task when two gaming camps feel they legitimately require such opposing things.

What does this mean? Power distributors received a buff in 2.1 and now they're nerfed again? I wasn't aware anything even changed.

Edit: I don't see any power distributor changes in patch 2.1 or 2.0. Does anyone actually have any documented info on this?

Edit2: I've noticed my Python is taking almost the entirety of the engine gauge when I boost. Prior to update I believe it was taking around half.

That's a severe reduction in performance.

Why did they do this?

Guess what, bud. It took my power distributor from working to non-working. Got me killed.
Lost millions. Goddamn devs just change stuff willy-nilly and they never change the right stuff.
Even with OP power distributors most players were getting ripped apart by bull     AI.

Solution? Mod-support. Let me play a game that's actually fun.
I want to kill things, and I want to be able to trade. I don't want to get my ass-kicked constantly,
just because I can't afford a 200$ flight-stick, and I don't care to use one, either.

Or we could actually be democratic and vote on the damned ordeal. Let every user log in and have a single vote.
Bull     OP NPC garbage, or potentially fun co-op gameplay. A simple vote.

Considering I've lost tons of friends to the developer's blunders and money-grabs, I really don't see them coming back to play Elite unless something drastic happens.
There are plenty of good coders and developers out there, but I have no faith that they exist as part of Frontier.
Look at what modders have done with Mount and Blade, or Skyrim. Or Total War for that matter.

As a casual player, I was completely fine with the AI as it was when 2.1 first hit. It's not like the game doesn't provide multiple ways in which to avoid combat.

I said it before and repeat again, IMO the AI was not a problem, there were other things like bugged/OP weapon, chain-interdictions and too much high-ranked NPCs.
Moreover, there are certain players who do not even know (or simply does not care about) difference between AI (which stands for “Artificial Intelligence”, or, more precisely, imitation of it) and NPC’s stats (like weapon power, turning rate and so on). And these players demanded to nerf AI because they died from overpowered rapid-fire plasma.

Attempt to reach some middle ground will probably fail.
Because some people do not want to make any compromises, they want it all. And they are “vocal minority”, they will demand, they trash-rate the game on steam and make youtube videos about “death of ED”.
It is based on seemingly valid statement that EVERY player should be able to have full access to ANY kind of activity in game.
But in case of ED it means that everyone, regardless of their skill, should be able to farm HazRES on D-grade Cobra. Because if not – than they cannot access this part of gameplay due to “difficulty wall”.

I have seen posts like “I should not have to use FA-off to survive” and “I am not combat pilot, but I want to do everything – exploration, trading AND combat”. That is why AI was nerfed, and will be nerfed even more, again and again, to make least skillful of players happy (or at least silent) at the expense of everyone else.

I am sorry for my poor English; it is not my native language.

I don't think I've ever seen one of these that was above 0H 0M.

I've failed every single one of them.

Maybe it's possible for people who fly a small upgraded ship with 600KM/s speed and great maneuverability, but for people with medium or god forbid large ships, it's impossible to land in time and hand them in, especially with how slow the mission board loads.

first off with the last updates you made this me last 2 patches first you screwed up the game with over powered NPC which are still broke by the way you can not merit hunt now by your self which sucks balls
now you have broken the docking computer how long we got to wait for you British         to fix this game
this game is pretty much unplayable unless you are trading . this game I thought was made with dozen of playable option

also are you guys that poor you can give us player 24/7 support good thinkg your not a US based company cause you suck have a good one

Since 2.1 released I came across MANY planets that had no lighting on the dark side whatsoever! Couple that with the nearly complete lack of surface detail, and you had a pretty difficult landing ahead of you!

No lighting on the dark side... well what did you expect? It's the dark side of the planet!

You're going to leave the game over not being able to see on the dark side of a planet? Is this a joke?
