Update 2.2: Hire a QA DEPARTMENT

Long Star and Colonel.Kenny, they're like two peas in a pod. I eagerly await their fantastically deep game, with next to no bugs. In reality, though, I suspect they would struggle to write more than two lines of code. Like I said, typical "armchair generals".

The point being here, you're not concerned about fixing the bugs, either. (See your OP)
If you were, you wouldn't be here, nonconstructively moaning.

You would encounter a bug, report it and let the guys at Frontier do their work. that's how bugs are squished. That's how most of us "fanboys" do it, because we care about the quality of the game.
Sniping at one another, here, in dangerous discussion, solves nothing.

Indeed, I have seen 1 or 2 bugs-never game-breaking stuff mind you-& I am always quick to lodge a bug report. If, however, I see something about the gameplay that I dislike or feel could be done better, I post it in the Suggestion Sub-forum. I also don't post it in a nasty, vindictive way....both because I adore the game as a whole, & so have no reason to post in such a fashion, & also as that is the surest means of getting my suggestions ignored. It's why people like Long Star and Colonel Kenny will almost certainly never gain any traction with any of their "suggestions".

Actually I think they do a pretty good job compared to some other games I could mention (Planetside 2, I'm looking at you).

hahahaha this actually did make me laugh.............

So, just because you think some games company does it worse (hard to see anyone outperforming FD in that respect I know) it makes it somehow OK to make your product unusable by many of your customers? Now thats a special kind of logic that is :)

Your opinion, I respect it. Please do the same for mine.

You are all entitled to mine. I grant permission for all of you to have my opinion.

Its similar to the hilarious trend of software "entitlements" as they call them. It used to be you made a piece of software you hoped people liked it enough to buy it and own a copy. Now you lease time to use it and are entitled to certain parts of it. sigh..

Hi,

If you would like, check out our Cambridge Vacancies page here: https://www.frontier.co.uk/jobs/cambridge_vacancies/ - Feel free to apply for the QA / Testing positions, regardless of it being on the site or not. We'd love to have you join the Quality Assurance team that is quite active and responsive to issues that arise.

QA not only checks the forums, but they also are monitoring for bugs raised by Support, bugs raised by the community team relayed from you guys (social media), internal bug reporting, validation, testing, regression testing, this list goes on and on.

I only see one thread made by you in the bug reports forum - QA has it tagged as investigating. To what i assume is that they're waiting for debug and log files. :)

Just out of curiosity, do you have any test plans? User stories? Is the code running through automated tests when code is checked in? Are you doing TDD? How good is your code coverage? Why do all these regressions happen?

Define "unusable" and "many" in this context, because, from where I am standing, the game works. There are no gamebreaking bugs, and more people are upset by design decisions rather than bugs, to be honest. It's not QAs job to evaluate design decisions.

Now thats a special kind of logic that is :)
Try to avoid this attitude unless you can clearly explain yourself, and even then, it is not nice.
