Patch Notes Update Update 2.3.01

Considering this issue was one of the first bug reports filed in the first Beta release of 2.3 seven weeks ago (by Me) and followed up with a half dozen more from other commanders within the first couple of days, and continued follow ups both in the Beta forums and the LIVe version... Frontier has NEVER officially responded to this issue.

They keep ignoring the complaints, and obviously, they apparently refuse to fix the problems.

You tell me... Should I be happy that this wasn't addressed in the latest update?

Maybe you should not have such a strong opinion about it. Major bugs got the priority. The next batch hopefully will have the fix. I still don't see my commander in hyperspace, but you don't see me going on about it. It didn't get fixed, it looks odd in VR, but I can live with it and it isn't the end of the world, just like your anaconda issues.

I don't see the stored module bug mentioned... Did that fix not make it into the patch notes, or did it get postponed until 2.3.1?

I don't think he conceded anything ! What he said was that it was not a priority issue that should have taken more importance or time over actual fixes.
In this he is complete correct. I mean of course game breaking bugs take precedence over, what in your opinion is, a screw-up.

No-one is bending over here. Some prefer the Anaconda the way it is now and don't even see it as an issue (well apart from the overly bright sensor display). You think it's important because YOU want it back the way it was.

You keep demanding all you want but if you're going to exhaust time and effort into that, make it for something worthwhile.

Well it looks like the galaxy map 'distance' bug is still there - unless this is the way it's meant to be now.
In 2.2 you could select a system, even very far away ones, that were either bookmarked, had friends in them and I think engineer bases too.
Now you can't. I wonder why that changed and if it will get a fix.

You need to take this ship out into the black before saying anything else.

While other ship cockpits are totally BLACK/DARK in such situations, the Anaconda cockpit/dashboard is lit up like you are parked next to a Red Giant! For those of us who fly this ship a lot on extended exploration trips, THIS is a HUGE problem.

There is nothing in the current version to like better. Unless you are totally blind, and have no other ship to A/B compare to while in the same area of space.

I'm done arguing about this. This IS a problem for many, and despite all attempts to downplay the issue and trivialize the fact that it has gone unaddressed for so long now, this does need to be fixed.

I hope the next issue you encounter in the game isn't one that some are willing to dismiss as unimportant simply because they don't own the ship effected.

Fair enough, I wasn't aware. I have more understanding now. Thanks for explaining!

Agreed - I can only imaging the furore if PC players had to restore key bindings every hour. never mind all the other stuff. Fingers crossed for a working Xbox patch - hopefully they'll beat the deadline on that like they did on the PC patch.

As a general note about patch notes.... If a fix for your favorite bug isn't mentioned - then it's not in the patch and asking about it isn't going to get it into the patch.

I wondered about this from the wording of the patch note, but haven't tested it myself yet. A bit of a shame :( I hope this is something intended for a future patch, it has made quite a difference to the general usability of the map IMO.

That actually sounds like how the Anaconda cockpit originally was pre Horizons. If so, that's not nearly as bad as the Asp was which took until the next major update to get fixed.

Perhaps the Xbox problem is a bit more important ?
Critical Bug repair is like triage. Cosmetics not so much.
