Since we're being civilized and all, maybe you can start by admitting that I didn't actually make that argument.
Just more disappointed that those of you getting this patch in preparation for the event this weekend aren't up in arms about everyone getting it at the same time. You seriously come off as not caring about anyone but yourselves.
If we break down the issues around Drew's event I can't but think that the current approach is the right one.
In the Obsidian Ant interview that Drew gave he explains some of the implications a postponement will have on the release of Premonition.
He also explains how the event is split between Xbox and PC/Mac. There are three wanted characters, where Salome +1 will appear on PC/Mac, while the last will appear on Xbox. This means that The main and arguably decisive outcome will be on the PC. In that context I think it makes sense to patch PC/Mac, as long as the patch is ready, and not wait for the MS validation process and synchronise the patches (which I assume was the original plan, but who knows).
As for you disappointment, that is fully understandable. I would probably be pretty annoyed myself in the same situation.
