There are some small behind the scenes improvements that will be unnoticeable and some tweaks to purchasable cosmetics that weren't working quite as intended.

Confirmed (quote emphasis mine). My very noticeable and reported bugs seem to be alive and well.

Now that I know that unnoticeable bugs are a thing, I'm going to put on my imagination cap and head over to the bug report forum. I can think up a whole list of exciting, unnoticeable bugs :p
 
I suspect that the "unnoticeable" bug fixes are things that would be very evident on stuff that hasn't been released in the live build yet.

"Bug Fixes" eh. Type 10 could be considered a "Bug Fix" if you catch my drift :p

GASP! Please tell me I can now re-position my alphabet bobbleheads. Please please please Santa ... it's all I want for christmas! (well, that and a recurve bow and arrow but hopefully my wife is handling that one).

Well, for bug fixes, they look pretty damn big. Downloading 13mb/s for 15 minutes. This update is more than 2gb.

I think FD knows very well what we mean with "lack of communication".
Unbelievable.

The patch probably fixed bugs with 2.4 content that hasn't released yet, things we haven't seen so they can't list them out in notes. For example, maybe they increased the power distributor of the T10 from the pathetic size 6 it currently is to something more useful for a combat ship with the hardpoints it has. They wouldn't be able to say that in patch notes because the T10 isn't available until we have the CG which will release it. Those kind of bug fixes, "secret" bug fixes.

The bugs we know about, like suicide scan ships and such, they aren't fixing them with patches right now! [hotas]
 
Post your dream patch notes, I'll go first.

- fixed bug where selling commodities and/or decrementing a quantity no longer makes any sound
- fixed bug where dark rectangular patches appear on planet surfaces
- fixed various issues with wing beacon mechanics as described so eloquently by ElectricZ over here
- fixed bugs where SRV rolls forward and ship accelerates in supercruise when entering camera suite
- allowed various warning alarms such as "overheating" to filter through to the camera suite
- fixed "popping" star textures during slow fly-by
- fixed "streamlining" of bobblehead livery which means they can no longer be easily re-positioned
- fixed numerous bugs with inbox messages overwriting each other or otherwise being unreadable/inaccessible
- fixed issue with exaggerated SRV damage in multi-player instances
- fixed issues with visual effects such as stellar ejecta rotating with your ship/head movement rather than staying fixed to the game world

Err, yeah ... that'll do.

I nearly fainted I thought that was what the patch was. Oh well I can dream.
 
I thought i heard a new sound whilst spooling up for a H jump but not sure, a Christmas Star Basilisk bobble head might be nice :)
 
I wonder what was so urgent that it couldn't wait for the usual weekly downtime tomorrow morning?

It was an urgent unnoticeable BIG f.u.x. , i think... meanwhile steam is still not updating my launcher to 2.4.09 ... it downloaded 0 / 0 bytes in an attempt to do so ?!
