Worse instancing issues in months, more shadow rams and shadow shots taken in all the time I've played this game, freezes, connection errors, wing members not showing up, NPCs not appearing in CZ or other locations, invisible enemies, new ships that need no skill to be flown...

Seriously FDev, is this a joke? I know you guys have done a lot of work to bring the new update, but why pushing out an update that is so buggy and instead of fixing the broken multiplayer aspects, you put in space crystals, squids, and voiced NPCs... I mean, okay, cool. Brings the galaxy to life, but if that means having an unstable game for 90% of the time, I gladly miss out on the new features and content...

OK...but some of us have never - and may never will use - multi-pew.

As you say, for us the new stuff 'brings the galaxy to life'. Cool.

Next "awesome" content for next paid season , SPACE FLOWERS, PINK UNICORN and lot other current functionality broken because "it's cool".

finally the biggest content of "beyond" was the paintings that were paying.So cool :)

it would be time to stop being satisfied with the fact of not having concurrency, because it is generally this way that we have surprises, follow my eyes :)

Hey, my game won't update to 3.3.1, it is still on 3.3 and i can't start the game. It keeps saying that Failed to synchronise time with server. The application will now exit. How do i fix this? My steam won't update the game because it does not find anything there.
 
This post to report that I am experiencing freezes on the UI while in Options and editing FSS controls.
The only way to get out is to switch back to the Windows desktop, open the Task manager, and click "End task" on the Elite Dangerous process.

Don't know if I am the only one, I experienced that 3 times in 10 minutes this evening, and stopped playing for tonight because anyway the FSS is not pleasing me at all :-(
 
missing patchnote:

prospector limpets control in multicrew is now given to the helm.

while i am happy that this was finally resolved, i had preferred if the gunner (and helm in solo) could fire them in all directions instead.
after all, the limpets are launched from the cargo hatch - and have to do a 90° turn anyway.
we can fire the detailed surface probes in all directions too, in VR even bound to head-look direction.
 
The new exploration tools are awesome, if the game wouldn't freeze and cause one to smash into a sun maybe we could have more fun using them. It is not a good feeling heading into port with 20Mil CR + in exploration data and an expensive ship plow into a sun because of game glitches. If it was just me dozing off, then OK.... it would mean what it should mean....Get Good! Now it's up to you to take the same advice, FDev and Get Good! I love awesome graphics and exploration like anyone else, but have game crashes in the name of Space Flowers, Pink Unicorns, Space Jelly Fish and The Crystal Cruncher's Fantasy Flyers in Deep Space is ridiculous. What did you guys do? Go on vacation in Sedona, AZ or what?

Don't press escape when the game freezes and you should be fine. For some reason pressing escape allows the game engine to resume in the background, if you just wait your ship will remain frozen & the only danger will be from other players.

YMMV, just wait it out & it'll come back.

Escape takes you to the menu that allows you to quit to desktop or main menu among other things, the game is always running while you are on that menu, if you look carefully you can see the activity faintly in the background.

I am aware that the escape menu is not a pause menu, I was describing the actions that worked for me while the game is locked up. If the screen locks up don't press escape, or your ship will start to move towards the star or whatever. If you press escape a second time (to effectively dismiss the menu despite it not appearing) it will lock up again. This has been my experience, YMMV.

I've been in-game for around 7 hours this morning & not had a single lock up, nor have I seen a persistent 'new message' indicator on the comms tab so fingers crossed the situation is improving. I had one server disconnect around 8am but that could just be high load.

It is true that cherry picking and complete system scans are now massively supported and simplified. Not something I need nor what I've ever asked for, but I can assure you a gross majority will appreciate exactly that. It's just the mental set of the main stream. But for people being too lazy to fly 10K or more, that's rubbish as it's quite the opposite: It's strongly encouraging surface scans now and I'm actually going more often a 140KLs distance than ever - cause now I know what I'm doing and why.

I haven't really seen anyone make a good case for the surface mapping. I just went on a 23-system exploration to see how much money I could make. I only made 4 mil after doing a 100% map of each system and surface mapping all planets with geological sites and mapping the rings of ringed planets. For more work, I made no more money than I did under the old system.

So you didn't map any ELWs, AWs, WWs or terraformables then?
 
...please let's try to stay at least a little bit unbiased here. And don't forget, the last word has still FDev. Their game, their decisions.

That's a dumb statement even for you... how in hells name can I be unbiased when I'm calling for change to the system?

And yes, even I fully understand that the decisions lie with the licence holders of the game.

I tell you which planets give you good payout if you map them.

Because somewhere out there in the black is Raxxla. Probably an Oz or two also ;). Really it is all about what floats your boat as an explorer. Some RPG the heck out of it, some just want to find a shiny, some the cash. In a galaxy this large and with all the hidey-holes FD could use I personally think there is a lot more out here than the Great Space Pumpkin.
 
Each further update looks similar to NMS: every new release produces bunch of new bugs which they heroically fix till next release. Why a hack I have 16% losses when my Internet connection is clear and stable? May be it's time to use some more robust technology after five years of dances with MTU?
Connection lost, unable to read full list of missions, crashed during mission completion, still lost controls, everyday freezes for a minute (PC hangs out).
I've never seen so unreliable network game ever.
Does your team understand that there must be THE CORE which must be 100% tested and must not be touched under no circumstances?! And is this a stupid wish to ask for THE CORE after five years of development?...
PS And I'd like you to response on tickets submitted. For a case.
