Patch Notes Update Update 3.3.02

thnx for the updates seems u guys missed a few

  • junky server problems
  • disconnecting problems
  • connecting problems
  • blackscreen problems (need restart)
  • frame rate problems (need restart)

but hey better something then nothing
and they gotta start somewhere

I hope that means we can still use two (or more) abrasion blasters for increased yields. I don't see it mentioned as a fix :)

In my opinion I believe that they are sincerely not interested in correcting that mistake for a while. That "mistake" I think is made aware by Frontier. If you realize, each new patch or expansion always try to leave open a door where you quickly get credits in order to attract and especially keep the new players. Is this patch is mining and that "bug" of abrasion Blasters, before was 17 Draconis, this, Ceos, passenger transport, etc etc.

Edit: I forgot to say that for my part I have nothing to criticize this way of acting on the part of Frontier. They are a company and as such makes it possible to attract and maintain their customers and this way of obtaining credits, I think it is one of them.

I'm not sure that you get an increased yield. Heard about this so fitted 2 blasters and went hunting. Sure enough 2 chunks floated off the rock and 2 limpets picked them up but what was appearing in my hold did not tally with what I was collecting. Does one VO chunk render one VO? If so then the multiple yield from the multiple blasters is only rendering a single VO in the hold.

no, one chunk does not always end up as 1 cargo unit - you can see that somewhere when you lock one.

When they have fixed it and decide to tell us in patch note.

I really do understand that these bugs are annoying (or even 'game breaking') for certain players but repeating these questions on a patch note were said bug isn't named doesn't fix it faster. The developers have bug reports and fix those when they can and as fast as possible. No developer would ignore bugs to annoy its user base so when they have found the fix, they will deploy it at the next release moment. Sure, tell them this is an important bug to fix, but you can use the bug reports for this.

Except the problem is they haven't even acknowledged the bug. They said they would investigate. Well, it takes mere minutes to observe the bug and acknowledge that the reports are accurate. I can understand that fixing the problem may not be easy but at least acknowledge the problem.

So where is the squadron megaship icon? doesnt show any where.
Every thing is still the same.

Squadron leaderboards are reset to 0 and all progress is gone.

Interesting!

It wasn't in the patch notes, but the multi-chunk bug has been fixed. Only one chunk per deposit, now. Cracking an asteroid with optimum seismic charges now nets around 13 tons of ore, not 25-28.

...and, in an interesting (?) addition, when the seismic charges detonate, instead of being told how many resource chunks are broken free, I now see a "sensor disruption" message. And it seems as if the number of chunks has diminished, too. An optimum yield charge that used to result in 11-15 chunks now seems to release 7-9? I've only done a couple asteroids, but it's been consistently lower than before (less floating chunks where you see 4-5 clustered together, so that might have been another facet of the bug we didn't realize).

Still, it's hard to complain about 20M Cr per asteroid.

Some great fixes there.

I was hoping to see a fix for the SRV (non-turrent) targetting which is off-centre and lower than it should be, forcing turret mode on most occasions.

Can you add HEAT monitor to the FSS screen. I scan planets while fuel scooping. Would be great to know when the ship is burning.

Hmmm well it's best not to be that close to the star if you're FSS-ing. There may be items behind the star that you won't be able to scan unless you're away from it.
Always best to move away a little after scooping, then do it.

Please tell me that before we get 3.3.1, we'll get 3.3.05, since this is the one chance for the patch number to line up with the current ingame year!

Thanks Wilbur.

Stop making sense and earning rep!

The "proper" fix (often proposed) is to make the FSS a popup in the cockpit instead of a full-screen view, similar to most of the station services screens. Ditto for the Maps. Maintain full situational awareness at all times.

Unfortunately that's probably out-of-scope for FDev now. All I can hope for is that any future feature additions will take this into consideration.
