Update 9.01 - Patch Notes

Isn't this intentional? When in supercruise, analysis mode shows the map and combat mode shows the atmosphere, and glide is technically supercruise. The atmosphere will only always be shown when in normal space.
Yes, I'd prefer that planets were always rendered the same in either mode, and "analysis" effects were only in the DSS screen. It's not quite a bug though, just a design choice which I don't happen to like.
 
Hi all - we're continuing to look into issues with the genetic sampler - can I get a sitrep on Fire Groups post 9.01?

How many of you are still seeing issues with Fire Group management and what are they? Bullet point answers if possible please!
Fire groups on all ships are still empty.
Checked 10h ago.
Even ships that have been in storage over the weekend have no fire groups.
Horizons & Odyssey.

But you can assign new fire groups.

The big question is:
Will there be a fix in the future that restores all fire groups?
If yes: will it overwrite the new fire goups we made since Update?

Because if not: this would be another really big annoyance for all players that have a lot of ships.

I'm afraid the situation with Fire groups with Both Odyssey and Horizons are unchanged. If I move to a new ship, I have to reset up my Filegroups. Once they're setup, they seem fine.
 
It might help Zac if in your patch notes you clarified what we should be expecting to see. Should our firegroups have come back or do we need to remap? Its a rather important question thats not answered in your release notes hence the above post saying "nope, still not back".
 
My firegroups are still missing. Why that not mention in known issues? Or why doesnt it say QA missed this feature and you will need to remap. Either way can we have some clarity on the missing firegroups issues.
Yeah clarity would be great wouldnt it.

Management of firegroups is not the same question as are my firegroups back, should they be back, why aint nothing mention in the release notes.

Fire groups:-
Odyssey:- Ships without armament (e.g. explorer) using D Scanner, System scanner, heat sink, composition scanner are blocked from changes
Ships with weapons as well may be allocated, but the number of columns is set too high (originally there was 1 column and a "+" column - now the program sets up to 8 columns even if none are used)
Once this happens, can't change ships and allocated fire groups.
Horizons (Alt CMDR) similar.

It has become impossible to fight enemies in resource extraction sites or in battle points. None of the enemies are painted red, but someone is constantly shooting at me from all sides. And it is even dangerous to return fire to fire – you can hit the ship of the system authorities, since they are also not red, and then you can get a fine…

16 forum pages of complaints in less than 24 hours. And thats not counting other threads.

Where are the community managers? What are they doing all the time? Aren't there 4 of them?

GET OFF YOUR ASSES AND FIX THIS MESS!!

CMs should be on top of this and answering people, instead they post some trivial answers that have no meaning whatsoever!

To have the main features in game unusable is a MAJOR issue and would/should be fixed within HOURS in a normal dev company.

P.S. if you do your job right you never have to work weekends!
 
Known Issues

The above fixes are designed to address the bulk of stability-related issues that arose following Update 9. We’re aware of other issues and are currently planning how to address them. They include but are not limited to:

  • Hostile ships not being correctly marked on the radar
  • Some deceased NPCs cannot be scanned or analysed
  • “Floating” Guardian Materials at Guardian Sites
  • The on-foot tutorial not completing
  • Multi Limpet controllers having more mass than Commanders expected
  • The Scorpion SRV is affected by texture issues around the chassis
- Can't scan Bacteria or Tussocks.
 
Also I'm not sure if this is new or not, but interacting with the right-hand panel while having starport services open sends input to both.

Consider this your one and only warning regarding your attitude. My team are working flat out, as they have been since launch, listening and communicating issues that are raised by the community to the the development team.

Resolutions to these issues are not always as easy as you seem to think. When we have the answers to these questions or issues, we communicate them. Whilst I can understand your frustration, I do not and will not accept this type of attitude towards my team.
