Update 9.01 - Patch Notes

Still not able to set fire groups on Xbox. No scanning, no battles... This should be a priority.

I didnt had any problems... if i had at least an weapon.
Not really nice for non-combat pilots, but not really a tragedy either. Fitting a small pulse laser turret is not much of a downside

Hopefully it gets resolved in January

i disagree here. i would go any bet that you will not see full srb rail fdls widely used in organic cause its not so easy to keep the target 1km or closer. landing PAs is much much more easier.
at about 1.2 km long range rails do already more damage then srb rails cause of the damage fall off.

the rest what you wrote is correct. but i dont expect the developers will do a full balance approach with overwork of heat mechanic but i hope they will at least tell us now which mechanic is working as intended (we tried to ask at the correct places) and if not they correct the damage bug.
I would like to say that this is wrong... because what you engage in open pvp are completely different targets then in fair organized pvp. Open pvp pilots often use longrange backwardsflying ships where you can do nothing with tc pas or srb rails. Also and this is the biggest problem most fights have cutters with 10 billion shields and/or the fights will be very big and you will burn your ship if you would use srbs... Also plasmas deliver good damage for the cap draw.
In conclusion if you engage fdls srb rails are great, in all other cases plasmas are better because the fights might take longer.
Heat is always bad when you dont know how long the fight will take... Especially if you have more then 160% heat...

i think we talk from different environments here.
all what i said relates to not organized pvp in open space.
and you dont find many full reverse pilots there. more then 90% fly tc plasma rail fdl for a reason.
and this relates also to single wing or fleet fights. tc plasma are very useful in this scenarios cause one approaches the opponent ship und unloads his full damage with one volley. i dont see this happen at all with srb rails.
aiming to rock organized 4v4 this is a different story and i see why srb rails could be a problem there. but its organiced pvp why not introduce some directives to make the field equal and interesting...?

There's no reverski in organized wingfights while organic is literally full of it.
And TC belongs mainly in the former, not so much in organic which is a realm of all kind of more effective and easier to use builds.

A wing's worth of SRB rail FDL's can easily outdamage a wing of non-TC plasma builds anywhere. The main reason why you don't see it often in organic is because the average skill level is usually lower in open space organic fights than in organized wingfights and there are a number of other, easier to use and just as effective alternatives.

The field is already equal - everyone is free to use TC PA's if they believe that TC is reason why they cannot win.

thats just wrong. just check out all the latest videos of organic fights in open. there is nearly no reverski any more. (with reverski i mean real reverski, for example what koka did)
not so much in organic
maybe the problem is that it is the most used weapon in organic.

i spoke about srb rails in your organiced wing fights

we really should close this discussions. we live in different worlds with not many cross match at all. lets just wait for the outcome of the devs in some weeks.

It's still all conjecture on our part, we can only take (un)educated guesses at why or how things are as they are. I agree a permanent test server is a good idea, but I don't think there's any need for (monetary) compensation. Things like unlimited credits, unlimited resources and availability of all modules, modded or unmodded, should be enough of an incentive. Think of it as Minecraft on Creative. They could also just have a custom, smaller scale "galaxy" there with convenient placed testing beds for all kinds of activities.
Not monetary - just in-game perks. "Cheat mode" with unlimited credits on the test server is also an option... I would say increased or unlimited credits on the test server would be even necessary to do some serious testing.

If I recall correctly, at least one of the beta test periods had unlimited credits.

Developers! You've done something awesome with optimizations in this patch!
I flew out of the bubble for resources, and met a new thing there, far away, in space I played at high settings, and on planets with resources too, but when I returned to the station and left my ship I decided to check the FPS! YOU HAVE ADVANCED ME 20 FRAMES ON HIGH GRAPHICS SETTINGS !! THANKS! THIS IS THE BEST UPDATE !!

VR frame rates are up a bit as well.

Just a screenshot when you get back from holidays

I think 2nd shows the same reason as "non-scannable bodies", i.e. body just takes wrong position. This one degraded cannot be taken until red door opened.

Bio samples near 2nd screen aren't working too, until I jump. Then scan starts in the air.
Looks like "srv radar path" swapped problem, before it was on proper positions but wrong on radar, now "fixed" it is correct on radar but wrong positioned.

Those were on ground until I disambark SRV, then those flew up. If I jump on it and stay it flows down to ground. Also "Degrated PR" was same on 2nd screen, out of box.
Once I got to the ship back (with SRV) those box dropped down itself, i saw falling in the window.

Everything points to invalid radar fix. Things get weird only those which can be tracked by radar and only when srv is involved.

I noticed this happing at some Guardian Ruins I was at today, as soon as I approached the object in the SRV, they jumped in the air, then fell down again. Also, a lot of objects were just hanging in the air...

How is that the bug where "ships that attack me, and wing members of a ship I attacked, don't show up on HUD or get targetted by 'next hostile' key", which was introduced by a patch more than a month ago is still not fixed? It is a real pain in a RES, but the key thing is that when you make things worse with a patch (which should be nearly impossible if you used test-driven development or even just had half decent regression testing) it should be top priority to fix the new bug as quickly as possible.

Last night I had to chase my flee carrier all over the map and finally had to restart the game to get back to it.
