I reckon it's safe to say that "this conversation is ... over."
Editing posts is allowed, and editing a post after it has been quoted does not change the contents of the quote. The forum software also adds a message to say the post has been edited if more than a minute or so has passed. I often use this to correct typos or missing words, it can of course be used maliciously but it isn't the topic at hand. Report the post & a moderator can look into it rather than replying & potentially exacerbating the situation imo.
A significant chunk of this (and many) threads is banter & trolling (light-hearted or otherwise), so using the post or page count as an indication of outrage is a bit misleading. Removing off-topic posts (like the discussion we are currently having) will help that (if they are deemed to be over the line).
I think this thread should have been locked several pages ago. Apart from the OP there is nothing of value in the last thirty plus pages. -posting and griping adds nothing. Just my Ten Cents'.

Or it was always intentional to go silent for the first few months of 2022 while they get their ducks in a row. I doubt it was intentional for them not to have CM's ready to promote the Warhammer game.
Edit: Just checked their careers page and they only have one vacancy for a CM role.

No egg requirements or stuphz.
I would rather prefer a discussion about why Supercruise Assist cannot be chained to the invaluable ADC for automatic landings, so that you can get you another beer in the meantime or else.
As for expectation management, which the OP was all about, we get that ED is not sunshined and several new things are scheduled, but obviously it is not possible to share any details yet. Maybe the internal timeframe cannot be met, maybe there are other problems, maybe it's just wiser not to 'promise' anything due to past experiences. While the game is nearly there where it should have been a year ago, there seems to have been a change in communication strategies since 2022 which was contrary to last year's approach (even though they always had kind of an Humpty Dumpty style on saying anything before as well ("When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty said, in a rather scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean - neither more nor less."), but the reason is completely unknown. Could also mean something big is to be announced; mind the current Frontier FY ends in just a few weeks, and notably no words on a console release anywhere. But then, if it were cancelled or delayed until dies irae, I doubt a CM would go to lengths to get approval to share such facts, and approval is apparently required. So we happily wait and hope for the best. Meanwhile, the rage goes on.
