Using a Joystick and Throttle with Xbox One.

I think if you search the forum one or two have done it with some doohicky that you plug your joystick into and a pc/laptop running some software then translates their inputs into the commands for the xbox. Sounds like a very niche solution to me (read: a complete faff).
Short answer is there is no official HOTAS for Xbox, and ED on Xbox has very limited controller configuration options anyway, so even if you did have a HOTAS you wouldn't be able to do anything on it that you can't already do on a standard controller.

Or have a little patience and wait a bit. XB1 is getting Microsoft Flight Sim sometime next year and that pretty much guarantees we will be seeing a flight stick.
Plus an analog signal>digital.
Would be nice if i could blow the dust off my MS FF2 & plug it in the xbox. not like thats going to happen

Dude! Where did you hear this??? That would be truly awesome if it were true! In addition to support for the space adventure/combat genre that ED finally stepped in to help renew, the console space has lacked a serious flight simulator for literally decades!
I totally agree with you that if the XB1 were to get a version of the MS Flight Simulator software, support for sticks, throttles and pedals would pretty much be a given. At least as long as they want the XB1 version to be taken seriously, and in the process, sell well!

For who have not got news of the latest development on Xbox one, they are talking at Microsoft about opening up more wifi access like wifi headsets mouse keyboards weels etc. all then is need of a wifi power flightstick and I would think that would add way more to the fight experience! To bad until this (Maybe) let's hope frontier wil take the effort to update the game for a flightstick. I say yes please! Ps The Empire rules! You Fed scum!
Is there any updates on a hotas for xbox one??? I have been combing the Web and I can not find anything. I see thrust masters make a ps4 version...

I am so on the fence right now... i have been really thinking of purchasing a ps4 pro .
I know thrustmaster is making one for ps4, not sure if it will work with xb1. There is a MS flight sim coming out at some point so we may see one then.
I did that it is rather expensive I do like using the Oculus and the 3D experience but there is no good way to keep your rank and credits you have to transfer them to the new CMDR and then you lose your rank and status the only thing you get to keep is the credits. You also lose any in game purchases you have made.....
