Using Self-Destruct as a lethal weapon

What-if pilots had the ability to self-destruct their ship and so take out their attacker?

Senario: A ganker is piloting a G5 Anaconda and attacks a Vulture pilot just for fun. The Vulture pilot thinks "Well I'm going to die anyway so let's hit Self-Destruct."

The Vulture pilot presses the big red button and a warning is flashed to the ganker that a second press of the button will result in 'Total Mutual Anialation'. The ganker can either chose to continue firing or to retreat intact from the scene.

Self Destruct would therefore become a viable option in any form of PvP.

Players would have the option to purchase a Self-Destruct module from any station. The class size of the module would determine its lethal blast radius.

Interesting gameplay?

Everyone's a winner, or everyone looses. How would pilots react if faced with such a choice? Or, could such devestating power be misused?

How on earth do you get destroyed in a Vulture by a gankaconda?

I support your idea, but only if the suicidal player will have to start over with a new cmdr character in a sidey..
That way suicide gets to mean something.

A couple of days ago I was piloting a G5 Vulture and attacked an Anaconda just for fun.
